i have been using sony xperia 1 iii for about 2 years now. its a good phone with bad software. every other security update bring new bugs. with the recent update there are 2 issues notably fingerprint scannner and the network issue. google it with build number 61.2.A.0.472 you can find many people complaining about this but sony claims it to be hardware issue. either way its a shame for such a premium device to fail in 2 years. its been about last 4 months facing network issue and sony didn’t fix it and about 2 month with the fingerprint scanner. if you are investing big amount better look else where.
Null, 04 Feb 2023New update to a13 was a surprise and it pissed me off. Reboot after update messed up the DPI m... moreSo far I love Android 13 on my Xperia 1 iii
Mostly I love to share my sound through Bluetooth with my wife while we travel in airplane and watch Netflix. Then we can both use our Bluetooth headsets without wire.
I use Sony WH-1000XM4 but wife Samsung Galaxy buds and works great at same time.
Battery looks like is lasting little better after Android13 over Android12 but I need to do some cleaning in my phone as battery was lasting full 2 days in beginning and now not always full day. By time my phone got full of apps that are rarely used. 212 apps might be to much but my phone is after 2 days, 2 years
61.2.A.0.472A after this versions update,my Device is over heating. If anyone have the same?
Any great person tell me Is this phone has green line issue?

I am getting Xperia 1 iii for 250 usd it only has a small crack on camera glass which does not care me in the way of camera. So is it worth buying it. It's condition is 10/10. like brand new.

UsbTehering does not work at ... more- USB tethering is in Settings (Network and Internet). Literally has a USB tethering option right there
- Double-tap to wake is in Settings, Display, Lock Screen
A 'couple minutes' is not enough if you want to fully customize a modern smartphone, more so an Android. You need to dedicate an hour, if not more, to literally go through every menu and setting everything to your liking. If you've a patience level that low, a flagship (no matter how old) is not for you; you're better going for a mid / lower end device and just being happy with that.
FaizGT, 15 Jul 2023You need to switch to south east asia(SEA) rom or EU. But flashing rom is riskyFlashing rom is not risky if its Stock - Stock & phone is not bootloader unlocked.

UsbTehering does not work at all! It´s not possible to use it with Asusrouter or any other router that support Usbtethering!
No double tap to wake up display!
these 2 points of criticism are already interchangeable with any overpriced Xperia model n Sony ignores such related customer complaints!
Sony is dead because they will never learn!

Just on 12 months and my Xperia 1 III issues with network unavailable - has this coincided with Sony dropping android supprt this year? has anybody else had issues?
Since Sony trashed on newer versions of the Xperia 1 the 70mm lens and replaced it with a 85mm lens resulting in an insanely huge gap between the main camera and telephoto lens, the Xperia 1 III is definitely still the better choice photo-wise, even though it is much older and cheaper.
The ideal camera phone would have a 16mm lens, 28mm lens and a 50mm lens (24/35/70 would also be fine). Of course, 100000mm could be useful in certain cases. But it is idiotic to become more and more tele without offering something at the more frequently used ranges. The benefit of 85 mm over 70 mm is not big, but the disadvantages are immense (when nothing else is offered below). Will probably switch to Vivo X90 Pro (or successor) once my Xperia 1 III is getting too old.
Do the latest Sony phones still support themes? I was a die hard Sony user many years back and one of the things I liked most was themes support and the ability to change the entire interface including wallpaper, accent, icons and even sounds by changing the theme
All 120Hz sony has ability of play pubg 90fps but pubg not allow 90 fps . why maybe sony is cheap phone or sony not pay for pubg company
