Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold5, Flip5, Watch6, and Tab S9 rumored to debut in late July

Samsung Android Rumors

According to a new rumor from unnamed, unspecified sources, Samsung's next big Unpacked launch event will take place in the last week of July. That's earlier than you may have expected, given that it's traditionally been in August when the company has held its second announcement bonanza of each year.

Not this time, though - at least if we go by what is still an unverified, unconfirmed rumor. Keeping that in mind, let's not forget that it's at this event that the Galaxy Z Fold5 and Z Flip5 are due to be presented to the world, alongside the Galaxy Watch6 and Galaxy Tab S9 series. Since the company generally likes its events to be around the middle of the week, if this rumor pans out then expect the next Unpacked to take place on July 25, 26, or 27.

Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold5, Flip5, Watch6, and Tab S9 rumored to debut in late July

Having the unveiling a couple of weeks or so earlier than last year won't make a huge difference, but it might be a signal that Samsung is aware of growing competition it's facing in some areas (the foldable space, for example), and wants to respond a little sooner to the Find N2 Flips and Pixel Folds of the world than it otherwise would have. This is all speculation, of course, but reasonably sounding speculation, if we dare say so ourselves.

It actually is pretty surprising. Samsung usually has three mobile events per year: S Series phones in February-March, S series tablets in May-June, and historically the Note but now the Z series in August-September. (This is not counting events for ...
