The second-generation Samsung smart tracker already passed through NBTC and FCC a couple of weeks ago so it's only a matter of time before it hits the market. We even had a good look at the SmartTag 2 from the FCC listing.
According to UK retailer MobileFun, the company will announce the SmartTag 2 in October and we even got some official-looking renders of the device in two colors - black and white.

Reportedly, the new tag will support UWB connectivity by default so you don't have to spend more for a plus variant this year. It will also likely work with Google's Find My Device function, which all Android phones support.
Those tags are already available https://www.ebay.com/itm/325837902758?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=LZg8QEPxRbS&sssrc=2380676&ssuid=LZg8QEPxRbS&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
Not really. Most of the things apple have implemented with airtags have already been in in Samsung smarttags from the beginning.
