The Galaxy Watch7 series is about to debut alongside the Galaxy foldables at the annual Unpacked event in July but rumors surrounding the watches this year are somewhat scarce. That's why we are surprised to see a new addition to the Galaxy Watch family this year - the Watch7 Ultra.
A set of high-quality renders shows Samsung's new Watch7 Ultra from all sides, revealing some potential features. The device adopts a mixture of square-ish and circular design, meaning the body has a square shape with oval edges while the display and the rotating bezel remain circular.
Additionally, the renders show a third, round button flanked by the usual power and back buttons. We still don't know what the new button's function is, though.
The images also reveal a larger speaker grille, new sensor alignment on the back and more seamless integration of the watch band with the watch body.
The display's size remains unchanged, however, and it adopts the same 1.5-inch diagonal as the current Watch6 Classic and fits in the same 47mm standard as well.
Earlier reports point at upgraded SoC, longer battery life and blood sugar monitoring, but we are unsure whether these changes will apply to all Watch7 devices or we've been hearing rumors about the Ultra variant all along. Either way, it seems Samsung is gearing up to challenge Apple's Watch Ultra 2 and we can't wait to see what the fuss is all about.
That "PS" was highly appreciated. At least, one understands where you're coming from.
