This was Samsung's first attempt to fight the first Iphone release but it took almost 2 years and although this phone had some great specs it was lacking as always of support and functional OS. Apple somehow managed to release an inferior in term of specs product but with a great OS and screen that destroyed samsung.

My review for the Omnia i8910 is as so, you have a first 720p recording phone. Then you have Virtual 5.1 Channel Surround Sound. That means you have like a Bose five speaker sound system. Play dvds for example at the best sound possible. The AMOLED screen is the best there is in the digital competition. After years of its release Samsung has recognized that because of its screen thickness they were able to built the best screen to this day. The more slim you go the more difficult it is to produce a quality screen. Samsung is going straight against iPhone 3GS through Nokia Symbian, and only them. The Samsung i8910 GPU has a upscale, you can play movies on this phone at 1080p, through h.264. The Operating System might be 640x360 but the screen can produce a 1920x1080. Honestly the internet browsing was a joke, iPhone 3GS won by a huge margin. Applications was a joke also. Apple won. Nowadays there is better luck with applications, but jailbreak your Omnia. i8910 is better in movies, recording, gaming through private parties, never available on Nokia Store, because browsing even the 3GS does not allow. Outdated. 2009 phones. This phone is very hot item on the Realm. Angels speak of. The games cost from $20 to up to $25,000 American, but worth every penny. Because of the screen the games look better than the current Samsung or iPhone in 2024. One thing is graphics, another how you display them. If you rich I recommend buying one. Soon they will hit ebay and brand new. A special rich man asked Samsung a huge favor. Keep your eye open. Millions will sell. A Mortal Kombat third party looks 3D they claim. The screen helps many. Samsung did state this is our last screen at the best resolution, we are going super slim. Less rectangles, omnias, leds, and binoculars. More paper linage and less visibility. Horrible ambient and less drama. Worst saturations and elements, everything got complicated. Even sound because of screen. If not rich, I would recommend why many still use it, AUX and Apple Lossless Audio on factory Audio Player and enjoy the rich blast of power sound. The closest in Apple is iPod silver Mono Audio, 1/16. Investigate. Then AUX. Apple Lossless also. In COVID season is fun to play games on a i8910. Amen.

It's October 2021! And I'm still using this phone as a back up to my Samsung J7 Prime. The phone is working excellent.

I use to keep the newspaper cutting of the advertisement for this phone back in 2010. Buying this phone was my dream at that time. Never accumulated enough money for it. Bought the Xperia Pro mk16a 18 months later.
Suddenly remembered this phone today and had to come to GSMA to check it out again.

How to set up voicemail on iPhone is a question which most iPhone users have. For that go to the phone app, then tap the voicemail tab. Tap the, ‘set up now’ button. After which you have to create a voicemail password, and then tap on the, ‘done’ button. Enter your password again to confirm it and repeat the same. Select custom or default. If you choose custom you can record a new greeting. After which you can save the changes made.

pro: great display-very bright. Great camera for pictures, for video not so good, great speakers, great design, good battery life, great audio from 3.5 mm jack, a lot of memory-8gb internal and up to 32gb sd card
con: symbian OS was different from nokia-not all games works, not so responsive touch screen, battery now is poor, no backlight keys, no selfie camera just for video calls, no apps and games-no facebook app no instagram.
I loved this phone when it was new-best of symbian at that time

Great hardware at the time, but the software side was awful.
Symbian OS basically handicapped this device.

One of my favourite phones. Mine still works perfectly fine despite some battery issues.
The slow motion recording was a top feature, even today few phones can do it.
Build construction and attention to details was great, not the cheap materials used nowadays.

Even after this phone was released, there was still 480p video cameras being used and even sold! So shocking!

Not a good phone!
Bad picture quality for a 8mp camera, blurry and less details...
USB driver doesn't work with M$ Vista Business x64
The display has bad lighting conditions outdoors
