Great phone but when it goes wrong, expensive to replace the parts. Had mine 18 months, now wifi gone and only sound is when unfolded. Samsung Agent says needs new motherboard at about half the replacement cost. Maybe unlucky. Reckon recent overheating had a bad effect as it was never knocked. Solution maybe get new cheaper model and keep the Fold 3 as back up using mobile data.

Before you buy, there is a widespread issue with Samsung fold 3. (I also own one and encountered one)
There is known issue where the first sign of it being bad (even you rarely unfold it):
1) no audio/sound when being fully unfold.
2) Phone not switching from the outer screen to the inner screen immediately. (rebooting the device while being unfold is the only fix)
3) audio will only works when only unfolded 45 degrees angle, use the outer screen only or use bluetooth earphones.
4) S pen deadzone down the centre (where the crease is), bottom quadrant, and a small rectangular section on the upper left quadrant.
5) If you see these symptoms, things will get worse like no WiFi and bluetooth functions and no audio when fold.
6) The fix only can be resolve by changing the inner screen (not cheap, cheaper to just buy another phone).
7) Technician says "There are two ribbons behind the hinge that are aging (start to decay) no matter you use fold or unfold.

Fahim, 09 Jun 2024They hate headphone jack 🙄?Dude, just use an adapter. They're dirt cheap, even on Amazon. If you can afford a fancy foldable phone, the chances are that you can easily afford an aux to USB-C adapter.

i bought it from preorder and still using it. this is the only phone that i used this much long. Almost 3 years and never faced and problems. working very smooth and fast. no heating no lagging or stuck. battery still completes the day. replaced the outer screen one time after dropped and broke the screen glass but no defects in flex screen at all even i dropped it many times. stopped using tablet at all. i will continue until it dies and will buy a new z fold

Hi, I need an honest opinion, I'm looking for a device that I can use for work with PowerPoint Word and Excel files, and also for VDO calls through line and Zoom where I can share my PowePoint slides, is this device recommendable for this kind of work? Thanks in advance.

I think for Foldable phone, once in a while you need to submerge it into water to remove debris or impurities that may stuck the hinge and affect the phone's folding ability

I got my phone when it first came out almost two years ago. I am about to replace if for the third time so this will be my forth phone. First issue was the screen issue that Samsung replaced for no charge. Second issue was the pixels on the screen. The third issue was the volume not working when the phone was folded. Now the phone will power off it I fold the phone. I have done some online research and only one article found. Samsung care just gives you the basics of turn it on and off blah, blah, blah. I do pay for the expensive Verizon care for the phone which is about $15 a month and I have to pay the $100 or so deductible every time I replace the phone. I love the phone but had the quality and I'll be hard pressed to trust Samsung again. This is a very, very expensive phone and with the monthly service plan and deductible I have spent way, way to much.

It was a nice phone untill the WIFI went off without coming back. After 2 Yrs of usage , hardware failures start . my wifi is not working and even after reset factory settings still Wifi is not working so u have to pay alot for data all ur life.
I will never buy a samsung phone again , i am done

Its been a year and a half of using fold 3 as daily driver. So let me share with you what my experience is like using. Let me clear off one point, before this i always have 1 phone and 1 tablet, whenever i upgrade, i keep it that way, 1 phone and 1 tab always.
Eversince using the fold 3, my tab has been left in the drawer most of the time and i have lost interest in using it, to the point i sold it off.
Loved tablets all my life, phones are just there for the camera needs i have. As tabs dont really have great cameras. That was the biggest missing point, otherwise i would just use a tablet and wouldnt need a phone.
Now with the fold 3, i have a great enough phone, with powerful enough processor . Great enough camera.
Also with the fold 3, i have an easy to carry Tablet, with powerful processor, and great enough camera.
Verdict, now, I have a phone for quick texts etc, i have the tab whenever i need to watch something ,read something, work a bit. And i only need 1 pocket to store it all.
No issues with hardware of software
Batfery has never been an issue.

Not really that much. Camera is "ok" but nothing more. Low light is big trouble for it I need to say.
If you want a foldable under 1000€ i still would recommend it but keep in mind that the cam is not the reason you buy this phone.
