phone bought for use in hostile environments now four years in use...control buttons have fallen off and when dropped 75cm to wooden floor glass face shattered...I thought phone was supposed to be stronger and specifically built for hard use?
Anonymous, 26 Jul 2022Age of battery does not effect performance. That's an iphone notion.Battery age can affect all devices. As batteries age they lose "health" as in their maximum capacity. After a point they also lose maximum output voltage which means when the phone demands full power, the battery cannot deliver it, resulting in immediate shutdown to protect the hardware. Smart devices then throttle the device to only demand the power the battery can actually output.

Very nice phone! Does what it is supposed to. Very nice product. It also has a very good battery life with the battery saver options. It's always a nice thing with these mid-range solid quality phones when you could actually not worry about replacing them for years to come.
This phone will last long just like any phones with easy to replace batteries.
An overall decent phone. Screen could be sharper ( not amo led ) and processor is a little slow but is reliable and works well with android 9.0. I just wanted an inexpensive work phone when I got it last year but will get an octa core phone with a larger screen this year (probably 6.4"or so ) so I can have more of a tablet experience without dragging along my laptop.
This phone is the most sustainable in the world because I live on a farm and I walk into a barn and once fell to the ground and was hit by a cow. The phone stayed all the time except for a while he got a little bit and now he's working normally. This phone is amazing👌😊
Little bit slow, but a great phone
Matandriuss, 13 Sep 2020Hi. How does Samsung Xcover 4 work after upgrade to Android 9.0 (Pie)? Does it have batteru pr... moreWorks perfectly with android 9 I have no problems
I've had this phone for over a year now, I had touchscreen issues so I had to upgrade to Android 8. No battery issues. Not a fan of the camera with the autofocus majority of my photos get quite blurry
Very bad 4g networking
Got mine for 4 years, great phone, medium pictures, medium gaming performances (maybe because my battery is getting old)
How does battery last of Xcover 4 untill Android update and after update?
Harry, 01 Dec 2020Hello - Is XCOVER-4 upgradable to Android-10 version? I read it as it upgradable till V9.Hi, nope, but the newer version Xcover 4S has Android 10 upgrade.
Hello - Is XCOVER-4 upgradable to Android-10 version? I read it as it upgradable till V9.
I've had this phone for about a year (bought second hand). It works just fine, is waterproof when in good condition. Mine isn't anymore, even though the battery cover seal looks like it should still work.
It prompted up upgrade to Android 9.x soon after getting it which I did. Nothing wrong with 9.x other than the calculator and phone dial pad buttons are a bit smaller and easier to miss.
On its original battery (afaik) it lasts about 18 hours with little use and ~12 hours with heavy use.
The camera works...but the colour isn't as deep as most current phones.
If you drop it on a hard surface expect the battery to fall out as the cover is only clipped on. So don't drop it in a puddle!
