Samsung Smart wearables Wear OS Rumors

Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Watch FE has leaked today in a pretty significant way, with official-looking images as well as full specs. So let's dive right in.

Samsung Galaxy Watch FE leak brings specs and images

The Watch FE in its 40mm size will have a 1.2" 396x396 Super AMOLED screen, a 247 mAh battery, 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, magnetic wireless charging, 50m water resistance, an aluminum body, and will also be IP68 and MIL-STD-810H certified.

It's powered by the Exynos W920 SoC, and will run Wear OS with Samsung's One UI Watch 5.0 on top - this is notable because the Korean company has just announced the 6.0 iteration of its wearable skin, so it looks like the Watch FE won't have that from day one.

The device will get an accelerometer, a barometer, bioelectrical impedance analysis, an electrical cardiac sensor, a gyroscope, a geomagnetic sensor, a brightness sensor, and an optical heart rate monitor.

The Galaxy Watch FE has been rumored to be a re-release of the Galaxy Watch4 from 2021, and these specs certainly seem to confirm that. It will clearly be positioned as an entry-level wearable in Samsung's portfolio, but the price is still a mystery as of now.

The Watch FE is expected to become official on July 10 at Samsung's next Unpacked event alongside the Galaxy Watch7 series, the Galaxy Watch Ultra, the Galaxy Z Fold6, and the Galaxy Z Flip6.

Erhm my first line was that 5mm is large in 2024... Galaxy Watch 5 40mm got EXACTLY the same large bezels as this one it seems. Also using a 1.2" display... Though the Galaxy Watch 6 40mm got a 3.4mm bezel, so better but still quite far ...

Well it is easy to add a bezel by software for those that prefer it. so better to have minimal bezels and let each user make their own choice.

I don't have faint on that. they haven't done anything on the sensor side for 3 years and probably will be 4 years. all they do is adding new metrics which also lack accuracy. I think it is easier to market quantity over quality. this year,...
