This tablet s9 Samsung is awesome.
I've never seen a so snappy exonal processor. So snappy and power efficient, all apps and android runs so smoothly. it's instant switch and smooth scroll.
The pen is nothing but amazing, responsive, and the software really really well thought. with menu bars drop down , drop left to right , from everywhere. So great I'll never end trying to understand how to handwrite in messaging apps with all that wonder.
I paid only 500 bucks it's so cheap for such a comfortable , ergonomic and productive tool. Hats down. It's a keeper.
And yes and there's a glaring screen seems what people and incredible experts are about nowadays.

should I go for Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 (2023) or Ipad Pro 11 (2021)? I want to buy the samsung tab but I got offered to fix an IPad pro if I want to use it which cost around 50% of the Samsung tab so now I'm contemplating between these two.

Not an issue for everyone but if you're buying for accident prone people it's worth knowing.

And which one will last long in software u... moreThe iPad Air 5 will last longer, as all iPads generally get up to 7 years of software updates, but the S9 will also be much cheaper to buy now, especially if you factor in the Stylus pen. I just bought a baseline one from the UAE for $490, including a case, extra pen nibs, and a paperlike screen protector. Getting the same package with the iPad Air 5 would've cost me double that, AND I'd also lose on the 120Hz refresh rate, which is not something to laugh at if you're purchasing any of the two for primary note-taking.
I would like to say that the S9 is also much more versatile than the iPad Air, as it can be used as a second screen for both Windows and Mac, but afaik, you can only use the iPad as a second screen USB-C with Mac.
Honestly, having updates until 2027 instead of 2029 doesn't bother me that much. As long as it stays functional, it'll be more than good enough. And, remember, Samsung often offers great trade-in deals whenever you want to upgrade to a newer version in a few years. Often giving you more credit than the device is worth at that point, in contrast to Apple, where you're better off selling it second hand.

I use it with my RedMi smartwatch, which has a little speaker and microphone for calls

However, you should be monitoring heat, and if it gets too hot, then you know you should use it.
