I bought my Tab S7 5G when it first came out in 2020. Still use it to this day, still very snappy and perfectly sized. 120Hz display and great sounding speakers. It's been in a super tough case so it still looks like new. Don't plan to replace it unless it does.
Anonymous, 12 Jan 2024Me too I wonder why Samsung is not clear about the S7... Planned obsolescence ... Time to dit... moreIt was time to ditch them when they put this turd S24 out acting like it was an upgrade from the Note 20. The AI is virtually useless, the internal storage verse expandable, and the camera? Kidding me yeah I'm going to 200mp zoom on my bald eagle viewing trips, the screen has issues year in sure it's "faster" I'm definition I've got my Note 20 and the 24 side by side multitasking at the same exact speeds it's a downgrade this company took a giant dump on its loyal customers.
I have to say this: I'm pleased with the S7 no lag very snappy it's great for what I use it for and the expandable 1 TB storage is great for videos and photos. I've been a Samsung guy for over 20 years now I'm disgusted with Samsung. I was beyond pleased with my Note 20 ultra then I smashed it had to go but the S24 ultra thinking no big deal was going to upgrade anyways and it's turned me off to Samsung forever. They lost touch with what guys like me wanted. I've got endless amounts of cloud storage with Drive, Prime, and Dropbox hundreds of terabytes I want the physical storage in my hand and that's now gone on top of this AI which is and I'm saying this for many the AI is worthless it won't spell check anything that it considers inappropriate which everything is the browser assist useless the photo assists useless so basically your downgrading instead of upgrading I came to this site to search for Samsung alternatives I'm going to give this 24 ultra to my nephew or something its total crap in my opinion. But yes the S7 still kicks A** and although I've got the S10 I'll keep this 7 for long as it's kicking.
Had a Tab S7 a few years back, then I must have been bored with myself because I sold it for cheap and spent a lot more to get a Tab S8+. I never used the S8+ much, it's just to bulky to hold. Last week I found a like new Tab S7 from a 2nd hand store for 200$ with warranty.
Tab S7 feels very snappy, real world use the S8+ has nothing on it and S8+ goes through the battery like it's nothing... There is Samsung based ROM to keep it up to date on XDA too.
For me it's different.
I tried to play some music with the tablet's bluetooth but it couldn't work and the settings app didn't open up. It also lagged and said the system ui didn't respond.
But this tablet is amazing that it still works.
Four years on, galaxy tab S7 is still delivering. No dull moment, no lag, no issues. Very powerful tablet from Samsung.
Superb tablet. After 3 years of use, battery still long-lasting, I had to replace it as it developed a fault (Play system update couldn't install, machine would try on booting up every time but unsuccessfully - a factory reset didn't help). Traded it in for a S9 FE - miss the 4 speakers, haptic motor on shutdown, faster chip and storage, to name a few. Happy though with replacement, it's a good midranger and I'm not a demanding user, so right for me...but miss the high-end hardware. S7 was near the end of software support, Aug'24, maybe good time for moving on, it served me really well, great experience
Anonymous, 02 Feb 2024Lol, time to ditch Samsung already.. and go to which other Android company? Xiaomi? OnePlus? A... moreI don't think that there are currently Android tablets that can compete with Samsung.
Phones - maybe. Tablets - it's either Galaxy Tab S or iPad. No android tablet comes close to Samsung products.

Their software support is far worse than Samsung's one. Especially in the tablet market.
The only other company better at support than Samsung is Apple. But is not Android anymore.
Bottom line, stop complaining about things you shouldn't be complaining about. This tablet received 3 OS updates and it will receive 1 extra year of security updates. And it was mid-range tablet at that time, not flagship one. The fact it had a powerful chipset inside doesn't automatically make it flagship tablet.
Today I received one ui 6 on my Tab S7 !!!! , Holy cow then why note 20/s20 didn't received anything???!

I have 6gb ram model and it runsgood designing apps smoothly.
This is a great tab.
According to some information that Samsung has revealed recently, Samsung Galaxy Note Note20 series (using the same chip Snapdragon 865 as Samsung Galaxy Tab S7's chip) will get Android 14. Why doesn't Samsung give information about updating Android 14 for Samsung Galaxy Tab S7?!
XRoneCamera, 03 Oct 2023 RAM capacity too lowToo low for what exactly? What's your use case?
