I have had this device since it came out and it still works good enough for a tablet, very reliable.

Been using it since late 2021, pretty nice but it does get laggy a lot, and storage gets full most of the time, for cameras id advice to use pro mode because the normal one js trash, my advice is if youre not a patient person dont buy it
The tablet was slow and laggy, but after updating to the latest version its much snappy and faster, i recommend everybody update the OS version.
Look like phablet
I agree with other commenters, it is BAD.
I have the 32gb, 2gb ram version (was given it by a family member that did not want it), and it is garbage. Somehow, this thing can handle a desktop video editor under Linux in the termux app, barely. It stutters a lot, but less than I thought it would...
I would not suggest this even for someone who just wants to browse internet, it lags scrolling google search. I'm sure that if i had the 4gb version, it would be a lot nicer.

Embarrassingly slow and it's probably mostly due to slow eMMC memory speed. My cheap Android car head unit has 10 times speedier memory, I tested both! The head unit is really smooth to use despite the SoC actually being a bit slower. The tablet is too slow for meaningful use in my opinion.

That is really frustrating, I have asked around in forums and facebook groups but receive no answers, so I believe I'm the only one experiencing this issue. I just don't want to experience this problem on a tablet since SD card is a really important function for me. P.S. I KNOW that Samsung outsource some of their production in China, so this just might be me having a trust issue after what I've experienced.
Does it have a chance with the non-standard LineageOS ROM? Does the processor disqualify it?
In my opinion this device is really good for watching video or just to use for work. Now im using iPad but i really liked the samsung tab a7 lite

I'd take less issue with this price if it was under 200 aud or whatever your currency's equivalent is.
I just bought this used, and it is working really smoothly compared to my samsung tab a 8 inch 2019 and my realme 3. For those who have said that it is laggy, I think you guys expected too much from a budget tablet. My quibble is only: even on the lowest brightness, the screen is still a little too bright when viewed in a dimly lit room, this is torture since I mostly read books and manga which usually have white background.
John, 15 Jul 2025It only worked smoothly with Android 11, period. If only it were possible to restore that version...Ir worked as smoothly as a gravelly road even on A11.

I haven't noticed a big difference between android 13 and 14 but I use the tablet mostly for basic tasks. I have noticed a slightly better user experience with Ramplus on (more apps will stay in the background so you do not lose time reopening), Adaptive Battery on and Adaptive Power Saving on (it may help battery last long without losing too much performance)
I'm usually pretty tolerant of slow devices but using this reminds me of the days when netbooks with ultra slow celerons used to exist.
Performance does improve a little before once it finishes starting up but it's still very slow.
Very laggy a long term user experience not a great tablet buying this is like buying trash don't buy
