Samsung Android Rumors

Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S23 Ultra is rumored to sport a 200 MP camera. So what, you may ask, the much cheaper Xiaomi 12T Pro has one of those too. Right? Well, yes it does, but apparently Samsung's 200 MP camera won't be the same. Instead, it will be the best 200 MP camera the world has ever seen, at least until the point of its launch of course.

This revelation comes from prolific tipster Ice Universe, who says the camera has unparalleled computational skills. Those will enable it to bring obvious, notable improvements to nighttime photos as well as nighttime videos.

It's so good, in fact, that it will represent the biggest leap in a Samsung flagship camera in five years. Those are definitely strong words right there, and it obviously remains to be seen if the S23 Ultra can really deliver what's being rumored here. But if it does, it has the potential to be the most exciting Samsung flagship device in some time.

According to previous rumors, in terms of looks the S23 Ultra will borrow heavily from its predecessor, the S22 Ultra. The battery capacity stays the same too at 5,000 mAh. The chipset used, at least in some markets, will unsurprisingly be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 which is due to get official next month.

One thing is certain. If they plan to sell Exynos again, I will not be buying. That's the reason I have skipped their phones since S9, and that is regardless how good might the camera be!

IIRC they do advertise peak brightness. I don't think I've ever heard any manufacturer talk about sustained brightness. But yeah, mostly... useless. Usually they go for something abstract like "improved" or something and slap a pe...
