Im samsung s23 ultra user, but already broken after 1 years + due to water damage that I accidently dip into the water for 3-5min due to flood, send to samsung service centre, being told that the damage is too extensive that the repair and will cost at price of 1000usd. Turn out the cause of damage was due to water resistance seal at back already breach, not sure wheter breach during the deep or prior to that as I wore phone cover all the time. Please always make sure that your phone water resistant seal not broken before you going for any water activity.

Babydubdub, 11 Jan 2025Please guys, I'm considering getting this phone and I need to know if I get it brand new ... moreEx Phone tech here, reliable yes. Last 5 years could be if you undergo 1-2 battery replacements. Phone batteries degrade at the 2-year period and would need a battery replacement when you start noticing it dying pretty fast. Batteries replacements are usually in the $75 to $125 range. I'm currently due for one since I'm keeping my phone for another year (S23U) wasn't happy with the specs of the S24U nor S25U (coming out this year)
Anonymous, 12 Jan 2025Please help me consider this S23 ultra or upcoming A56 Which will be better Ex Phone tech here buy the S23U. A series are throw away phones they break you throw it away due to the repair cost vs the phone cost they are pretty close together in price. Now S23U if it breaks you will spend money to fix it but it such a good phone. I skipped the S24U and now skipping the S25U can't beat the features, and no new features have came out since the S23u. S24U marketing was literally we got AI well guess what it came out for the older Samsung phones as well

Which will be better
Please guys, I'm considering getting this phone and I need to know if I get it brand new and run all the updates till the latest version, is everything still going to be fine. The battery won't get worse, the phone won't suddenly start turning off or rebooting by itself right.
Please I really need you guys response, at this point with my current phone I'm so tired and frustrated. If I get the S23U would it be a reliable phone that won't disappoint me when I need it to work properly, would it be able to at least give me 5years of good functionality???? I'm not a gamer or heavy user, I just need a reliable phone that I can put my trust in.
