Anonymous, 12 Jan 2023Samsung also make gas cooktops. Can I put one of those in my phone?sure, why not. You might as well add a refrigerator and a dishwasher too!
I guess i will probably pass this one. SD Card is important, not only for moving data when sent to repair as someone said, but I have leraned over time that all data in one place it's just plain risky.
Yes I have Dropbox, but not all get's to go there, mainly only photos (automatically), so data backup is risky on this one.
Anonymous, 12 Jan 2023You say that, yet Samsung themselves are still making Micro SD cards and selling them. I wonder why?Because phones are not the only things that use/used SD cards...
In my (humble) opinion, this might be THE phone from Samsung that will make them shine in the spotlight, a thing that has not occured since the S20.
Yeah, no headphone jack, MicroSD slot, but it's an S series Ultra phone. People that buy this certainly have money to invest into wireless headphone solutions, as well as cloud storage solutions. Let's not forget that.
So far, per leaks, they are playing their cards right. Getting speakers up to speed (louder and with more bass), fully investing into Snapdragon SoC (which, this generation, is manufactured at TSMC), fixing the camera bugs and improving them, 12GB RAM and 256GB UFS 4.0 storage as a BASE option. This is finally not a small generational improvement.
Now, if there are features that have not been leaked yet, that's even better. However, it is time for Samsung to show that they are not only capable of marketing, but actually accomplishing new wins. They have to make sure that this is not a rushed product, full of bugs, defects, QA issues, overheating and battery drain issues, something that S20-S22 series were "famous" for.
Also, the price. I hope that they won't be that greedy like Apple. In Europe, 13 Pro Maxes were going for around 1200 euro, at Craigslist-type websites even cheaper, around the 1000 euro mark. But they got greedy, because "inflation". Now the 14 Pro Max is around 1400 euro, in Poland it was as much as 1600 euro at one point. That is exorbitantly expensive. I am no economist, but around 1100 euro price range for this device is a sweet spot. Knowing that there will be lots of pre-order goods (just like always), it makes the phone even less expensive.

How big of a sdcard/memory card can I put in? Oh... there isn't? Well then better luck next year.
Same ram like my S 10+...better processor ...

Danish07, 11 Jan 2023will this Samsung phone become slow with time like previous ones?Ive still got my s10e which is still just as fast as when i got it, so i seriously doubt the the s23 will be "slow"
Although i will say that i will stick with my s10e (even though the battery is not the...lets say - best after 3 years of using it intensely). I like my headphone jack, small size (even though the base s23 will probably be a bit bigger than mine), side mounted fingerprint sensor, and im just used to it i guess. I dont need anything more, except probably a new battery, since mine is not the best after years of use and abuse
Miss the days when you had the choice of a Note Series which was apart from the Galaxy Series and was reasonably priced plus had a memory card slot. Now Note lovers are stuck with the option of a Note clone with no memory card slot and have to pay IPhone price for it now 😑😑
Danish07, 11 Jan 2023will this Samsung phone become slow with time like previous ones?My S10 is extremely fast, never lagged or anything. Issue is battery and display became a bit dimmer and can barely see anything in the morning outdoors.
David 040882, 10 Jan 2023Who told you it will be €1500? Their flagships don't surpass €1000LOL WHAT? The S22 Ultra was 1399€ at launch. All of their Galaxy S series have been over 1000€ in the last 3 years.
External Memory card actually help protect the data from getting misused when you have to give your phone for repairs or any other work.

Danish07, 11 Jan 2023will this Samsung phone become slow with time like previous ones?I currently have the S22. And I've also had the S21, S10, S8 and S6. None of my Galaxy S phones became slow over time. Although each newer Galaxy S phone was faster than the previous one. With a newer SoC, faster RAM, faster storage etc.
