neoxcool, 14 Jan 2023Copy-paste of most of S22 Ultra's Specs ...They are basically running a scam at this point. IMO EU will end up slaming them for using a misleading naming scheme (should be S22.1, say, not S23 which implies a new phone altogether , not one that shares 99% of its components with its predecessor).

The chip will be bette... moreIt will have worse Bluetooth/wireless audio performance/sound quality though since it won't support advanced aptX codecs (seeing as it's a custom designed Samsung SDG2 chipset) compared to traditional SDG2 phones. Traditional Qualcomm SDG2 phones this year will support those codecs inherently, Samsung likely won't since they can stick with their proprietary SSC codec and sell more GBuds. It's a repeat of last year with the S22 Ultra (even with the SDG1 chipset models), but hopefully the S23 Ultra includes at least a tier above vanilla aptX (aptX HD or Adaptive rev1).

When the hole was first introduced, that's what it seemed like on paper. But in practice you still have a big black bar at the top of the display in most content because of the hole.

2) The quality isn't garbage.

A bit soft and a bit of distortion towards the edges but not garbage. Perfectly usable for the weirdos who post selfies on Instagram 24/7 with their front cameras when they could be using superior rear cameras with a tripod, since they're so obsessed with taking pictures of themselves all the time.

No headphone jack = more waterproof even the rain hitting to y... moreThey can waterproof the 3.5 jack the same way they do with the usb port, speakers and microfone. Wired headphones mean I can use them whenever I want without having to worry about the battery and I don't want to rely on a cheaply made usbc -> 3.5 that can break at any time or get lost incredibly easily

Anonymous, 14 Jan 2023I hope heating issues fix..888 and gen 1 really hotThey were based on Samsung's manufacturing process. The sd gen 2 is made by tsmc, so there's a good chance they will have better heat performance
