Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S23 FE has been in the rumor mill for many months now, and the company is still taking its sweet time with the development process. However, we may be getting very close to its release finally.
According to a new rumor from a usually reliable source, the Galaxy S23 FE will be released in September. This matches a previously rumored release timeframe of "Q3", which is July to September, so while cutting it real close, Samsung is still well within that window.
The handset's specs have also been leaked once again. It will be powered by the Exynos 2200 SoC in most areas, but the US will be getting the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 instead. It will have a 6.4-inch FHD+ 120 Hz Dynamic AMOLED screen, a triple rear camera system with a 50 MP main with OIS, an 8 MP ultrawide, and a 12 MP telephoto, a 10 MP selfie snapper, and a 4,500 mAh battery with support for 25W wired charging.
The Galaxy S23 FE will run Android 13 with One UI 5.1 on top when it launches, and will of course get Samsung's standard software support promise, which involves four years of big Android updates and an extra year of security patches only.
It goes without saying that this should be the cheapest S23 ever, but it remains to be seen how much cheaper it can get compared to the S23 and S23+, which have both been on the market for some time now and have seen a bunch of price cuts and promos everywhere.
