Please i got my S21 plus yesterday from a friend, model sm-G996u version which uses two nano SIM and it's Snapdragon 888, when I went to settings to update the phone to latest version it keep saying my device is up to date... It's stucked on oneui 5.1 on Android 13 😭😭😭😭

Cyberchum, 09 May 2025S21 series were never meant to receive android 16, so what do you care when android 16 would b... moredont be a blind fan be realistic, updates are meaningful only when delivered in a timely manner for a huge company like samsung, there is no excuse to delay the update almost by a year. they have already made one ui 7 even for budget phones but they are too greedy only to fucus on newly manufactured phones of 2025 to collect more money and ignore the previous releases. it doesnt matter even they promise 10 years of major update if they cant deliver it on time.

Samsung promised you 4 android update and they've delivered that albeit the delay. They never promised it'd be a timely update anyway. 12, 13 and 14 arrived early, so because 15 didn't, they MUST add extra? Don't get me wrong, the update should have taken that long and I wouldn't mind extra android version update, but that your logic wasn't sound.

samsung must release one ui 8 for s21 series one ui 7 is already a jump it cannot be considered a real update after all this painful delay. the stable version of android 16 is about to be released in just a month. samsung really scammed us.

I dropped it countless times. The max that ever happened was to break the screen protector once. Replaced it, not a single scratch in the phone. I use the thinnest possible cover (Nillkin). It is definitely a very resistant phone. I will only migrate from this fone to another S series. I hate Samsung for TVs, but for phoens I am pretty sure it's the best brand and series.

As in will it get that black screen thi... moreI'm not really too sure, maybe Samsung messed up in the screen connector and if you drop it (maybe) it will have a black screen, or due to a bad display, or bad GPU. Bad GPU is less likely, and display connector too, but battery life degrades overtime, and it depends if you charge it till 100% or till 80-90%, as if charging till 100% you get more battery but it will degrade more. It all depends if you want a new phone or not. You're welcome for the help, I'm a phone geek

Honestly, you should pick the A55 because it's newer.
