Samsung Android

With the Samsung Galaxy Note9 being out now, everyone is looking for the price and availability in their country. We already know about the US, UK and DE availability but what about India?

Samsung is making an effort to retain its strong positions in the Indian market so it has already made the Note9 available for pre-order with some sweet deals. Those who reserve a unit can get the Samsung Gear Sport smartwatch for INR 4,999 ($72), instead of the usual INR 22,990 ($333).

But if you are not in the market for wearables, Samsung has two more launch offer options - INR 6,000 ($87) cashback through HDFC Bank or no cost EMI from INR 5,5657.57 ($82) each month.

And the Note9 itself, it's on Samsung's official online shop and you can pre-order the from now until August 21. Actual shipments will start on August 20. The price for the standard 6GB/128GB version is INR 67,900 ($985) while the 8GB/512GB is INR 84,900 ($1,232). The available colors are Midnight Black, Ocean Blue and Metallic Copper and the latter comes only in 128GB flavor.

We can expect Amazon and Flipkart to offer the device for pre-order as well.

If you are still wondering whether it's the right fit for you, see if our hands-on will help you decide.

May be because they don't know how to type it in case the keyboard doesn't have this symbol. I figured out there existed an ALT code and a unicode only a year ago. :)

India had official sign of "₹" for currency since long time now. Still couple of websites including GSMArena are using words like INR or Rs. Why?
