Samsung just introduced its latest mid-range smartphone in India dubbed Galaxy F42 5G. It's identical to the Galaxy Wide5 that launched in South Korea recently and largely similar to the globally available Galaxy A22. Compared to the A22 the F42 brings a more capable main camera, new colors and a slightly modified design of the camera island.
The display of the Galaxy F42 5G is a 6.6” LCD with Full HD+ resolution and a waterdrop notch for the 8MP selfie camera. The back has 64MP main, 5MP ultrawide and 2MP depth sensing cameras.
The phone runs on Mediatek Dimensity 700 chipset with an octa-core CPU going up to 2.2GHz for its two powerful cores.
The Galaxy F42 5G will sell in India with 6GB or 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage, with the option of adding up to 1TB more through the micro SD slot.
Sadly, the Galaxy F42 5G will miss on the cool-looking Mint, Violet, and White colors the Galaxy A22 5G comes in and will sell on Flipkart in either Matte Aqua or Matte Black.
Samsung is pricing the phone at INR20,999 ($282/€242) and INR22,999 ($310/€265) but will offer a INR3,000 ($40/€35) discount for early purchases when the sales begin on October 2, as part of the Big Billion Days.
