I am using this phone fresh from the box and still using it without any issues. I am getting along with it and doing everything but gaming.
Now, in 2024, I am using this as a secondary phone daily because I upgrade to the S24U. I will never sell this phone.
Ok until now 2024 almost 6 years and just fail charger input pin, no bad. it have all I need and more, maybe it's defected for some games but u can watch a netflix or prime movies without problems. To call and send/rec whatsapp it's enough

My sister at church has this phone, and wow, i back of the phone is very slippery and very comfortable to touch, and the performance is pretty fast too
bought at 2020, second hand.
still in a good condition, immediately put a skin and case. this phone is handsome, im talking about it's price and performance.
it was cheap, very very cheap now, it's price maxed at 70 usd on the market, and it has good technologies, aio.
you named it, nfc, fast charging, super amoled, dolby atmos, small form factor, usb c, full aluminum body, front and back gorilla glass, earphone jack, dual sim, sdxc support up to 1tb, ip68, samsung pay.
not to mention the one ui 1.0 (android 9) was good enough to complete any task. it's just lacked of customization and flexibilities, but still rigid.
i mean 70 bucks, come on.. no one can beat it's price to performance.
ah, if you want smaller and similiar specs, go to samsung a5 2017.

Have constantly looking for excuses to ditch my Samsung A8(2018) for something newer
but failed miserably. The battery still powering reliably and performance has not degraded
noticeably. Just hope it won't be hacked anytime soon with the derelict security update.

The phone itself is not significant compared to what is in the market now and has slowed down a bit in the 4 years I've had it but I bought the phone with my own money at 14 and it's a good first phone especially since it goes brand new for $100CAD now.

Is there any way to replace the battery ?? at present

Good fairly compact phone, mine is still working ok, it's just slow compared to newer phones and it doesn't do well with dark photo situations and the front selfie camera isn't brilliant.
Has anyone updated the phone to Andorid 9 (Pie) ? Does it have problem with that android version? Cause mine still Oreo
Anonymous, 20 May 2023Incorrect, 4G is the generation, it came before lte, LTE is the long term evolution of 4G.I think you got it wrong way around. 4G is a main generation and standard. LTE is currently part of 4G but doesn't cover all of it and is bit older technology (Name comes from Long Term Evolution of 3G)
Therefore LTE is (a subset of) 4G. However, there's more in 4G which isn't covered by LTE.
In real life most people don't see the difference in speed or performance when using a phone.
