Samsung Android Firmware Updates

Samsung's been busy updating its smartphones across different price segments with the July 2021 Android security patch. The Korean conglomerate recently released one for the Galaxy A51, and now it is the Galaxy A80 that's getting the latest security patch with a new update.

Samsung Galaxy A80 gets updated with July 2021 Android security patch

The new firmware has version number A805FXXS6DUG3 and is currently seeding in over a dozen countries, including Germany, Cyprus, Greece, Hungary, Macedonia, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, the Czech Republic, and the UK.

If you haven't received the update yet, you can check for it manually by heading to your Galaxy A80's Settings > Software update menu.

It isn't that much more than the Galaxy A71 who has the same chip and was released one year latter (prices of the chip got down) and have similar specs, if anything the A80 have better specs except for a missing 3.5mm Jack. https://www.gsmaren...

Even if the display and quality issues are fixed, the expensive R&D cost will get to users one day and privacy is still an issue. They didn't try "something new", they were just the first to release something extremely overhyp...
