Thinnest slab Samsung ever made till this date. Even the S25 edge might not be slimmer.

Back when manufacturers knew you should not just brute-force a 5000mAh battery into every phone, but make a larger phone thinner so that the weight is still manageable. Visible with going from Galaxy A3 to A5 to A7 to A8, each bigger model is thinner so that the weight difference is not unmanageable. And the fact that there were 4 different size models instead of just every phone being 6.5 inch is an achievement on its own. The golden days of the smartphone era around 2015 seem to be gone, and it doesn’t look like they will come back soon.

i know someone still using this phone. the camera lens is missing and the camera itself can't focus, there are irremovable stains on the back, the side is chipped, the power button has stopped being clicky, and they're unable to use banking apps as of last year, but it's still functional as a basic calling, chat and youtube device (but every action takes a few seconds compared to the instant opening of today's phones)
thankfully they are getting a new phone soon but it's amazing how this shitty (even when it launched) phone survived this long.

Used it till 2019. Fed up of lags then smashed. I have still in my drawer tho. Display & Camera were top notch. But after 2nd year its camera starting to get worsen to almost unusable qualitywise, I am pretty sure it was through updates, intentionally of course by the company. Only one os update. Made me to vow I will never buy any Samsung phone in my life again. I am using Poco f1 from Xiaomi. Everything is still going strong. My next phone is surely going to be iPhone.

I think the time set for Samsung phones is 12:45. That's why Samsung launches every phone at that time.

this phone working great till now
now my mum using it
battery and standby time is amazing (especially for such big screen)
loses 0% for whole night standby
good enough for youtube and whatsapp and chrome
