Had the phone for about 18 months, then the wet charger port bug appears! Now the phone cannot charge anymore! It should still be under warranty BUT I forgot where I bought it from! Spoke to my local repair shop and it seems this stupid problem is very common with all Samsungs.

One UI 8 makes battery drain faster than before. Hope they can fix this in future updates. Samsung A55 is a badass, having a flagship feel in a midrange price.

st0rmtr00per, 15 Jan 2026Kindly share us your experiences of why this is a BAD phone. Not bad for everyday use, for casual gaming its fine. For daily use its great, as there is no issue, good performance, display clarity, battery. Only downside it does not have radio, and 3.5mm audio jack.

Microscopic dust particles get trapped inside those covers and they rub against aluminium frame. This creates fading that you have described.

Guys I'm having an issue with my samsung A55 the screen and the back are still perfect but the sides are getting fade as if paint is removed or scratched even I'm always using a rubber cover.
