Samsung Galaxy A53 5G gets certified with 15W charger

Samsung Android

The Galaxy A5x series model du jour has consistently been Samsung's best selling device year after year, and we have no reason to doubt the situation being similar in 2022 with the upcoming Galaxy A53 5G. We've already seen this phone in some speculative renders, and a prototype was spotted in a benchmark database revealing some of its specs.

Now, it's been certified by 3C, alongside its charger - a 15W unit. Rather disappointingly, that means that Samsung's best selling device won't be getting a properly fast charging experience out of the box in 2022. Maybe next year. Hopefully next year, as basically all of its competitors do ship with faster chargers.

Samsung Galaxy A53 5G gets certified with 15W charger

Last year's Galaxy A52, A52 5G, and A52s 5G all supported 25W charging, but only had a 15W charger in the box. There's no reason to think the situation will be any different this year. So at least you have the option for faster charging, but not including a 25W charger in the box just seems petty on Samsung's part at this point.

Anyway, according to previous leaks and rumors, the Galaxy A53 5G will come with the Exynos 1200 SoC, 6GB of RAM, Android 12 on board from day one, a 120 Hz AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and a quad rear camera setup.
