The Samsung Galaxy A52 and A52 5G were announced in March with Snapdragon 720G and 750G chipsets, respectively. A new version has cropped up on Geekbench, the SM-A528B, which features a more powerful chip (and possibly other upgrades).
This will likely be marketed as the Samsung Galaxy A52s and it has a Snapdragon 778G. The benchmark lists the motherboard as “Lahaina”, which was the code-name used for the Snapdragon 888, but the that clearly isn’t the case here. If nothing else, the scores match the ones from when the Honor 50 ran Geekbench.
Samsung Galaxy A52s (SM-528B) scorecard from Geekbench
The phone ran Android 11 with 8 GB of RAM. Compared to the 750G, the 778G isfabbed on a more advanced process (6 nm TSMC vs. 8 nm Samsung), has newer CPU cores (based on the Cortex-A78 instead of A77 and a beefier GPU (Adreno 642L vs. 619L). The new chip also comes with a faster 5G modem (up to 3.3 Gbps) and better local connectivity with Wi-Fi 6E support and Bluetooth 5.2.
GalaxyClub, who spotted the benchmark result, also quotes sources that say the Galaxy A52s is coming to Europe with at least three colorways to choose from: Black, White and Light Green. Maybe there will be more, though that will become clear closer to launch. Speaking of, it’s unlikely that the A52s will be unveiled at the August 11 Unpacked event, so expect a separate launch later on.
Note that “s” models often come with different camera setups, so the chipset may not be the only upgrade on the Galaxy A52s.
while I love the Samsung galaxy note devices, I cannot wait for the Google Pixel 6 and 6 pro devices I heard that Google is going all out and making them an ultra-premium device and they even made a custom chipset to go with. and the new information ...
Don't worry you won't get a reply. He was just here to leave a fake comment abt his made-up experience using the phone he doesn't even own lol. I mean commenting is free so why not leave a comment? Who's gonna ask for credibility?...
