While the Samsung Galaxy A52s is inching closer to launch, details about the phone keep trickling in. Yesterday we saw renders of all four colors, Awesome Mint, Purple, Black and White, now there are even more renders, FCC documentation and even some unofficial pricing info.
The model that was certified, the SM-A528B (with both single and dual SIM versions), has support for the following 5G bands: 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 20, 28, 38, 40, 41, 66, 78. Additionally, it has Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth and NFC connectivity.
These are the same bands as the Galaxy A52 5G, though the “s” model uses a different modem – an X53, part of the Snapdragon 778G chipset (which was reported by Geekbench). The X53 is rated for up to 3.3 Gbps downlink speeds on 5G and 1.2 Gbps on 4G. For reference, the A52 5G uses a Snapdragon 750G chipset, which has older CPU cores and a weaker GPU. Also, it is an 8 nm chip, while the 778G is fabbed on a more advanced 6 nm node.

The chipset may not be the only upgrade. There is talk that the phone will gain a telephoto camera (replacing the 5 MP depth sensor), in other words it will have the Galaxy A72 5G camera (which also uses the slower 750G chipset).
According to leakster Snoopy, the phone will be available with 128 GB storage only and will cost around €450 (which converts to $535 or INR 39,500). This matches the initial price rumor that we heard a couple of days ago.
No launch date has been mentioned yet, but Samsung has more important things to worry about right now – the next-gen foldable flagships are coming next week. The Galaxy A52s will probably be unveiled later on with less fanfare.
