Maybe I'm not looking in the right place but Samsung doesn't make it very clear that their budget phones only get 2 OS upgrades.

DANIEL , 16 Dec 2023I own this smartphone series and it does not have an update to Android 13.Yep Samsung lied to us by claiming a series phones in 2020 or later would get three os updates but as it turns out Samsung likes to only update it's phones if they're one of their favourite countries

A426U, A426N and A426U1 start with Android 11 while A426B and A4260 start with Android 10.

Spud, 29 May 2023I've just been talking to Samsung support about this question, since it's seems to b... moreThe only other options are a:) install a custom rom or b:)buy a phone with android 13 preinstalled, since option A is unlikely to be recommended by a Samsung employee which leaves only option B available and would make opening a case pointless. The only thing this Samsung rep is interested in is selling you another phone so they can get another commission for their next meal ticket.

If that's the case foe the international version of the a42 5g then Samsung should just come out and say so instead of lying to people by telling them A series models get 3 OS updates and 4 years of security updates when clearly they don't.
