Samsung is bringing its latest rugged Android devices to the US. The Galaxy Xcover6 Pro and the Galaxy Tab Active4 Pro are now available for sale with 5G connectivity and MIL-STD-810H compliance for operation under extreme conditions.
The Samsung Galaxy Xcover 6 Pro was announced back in late June. It brings a 6.6-inch IPS LCD panel with FHD+ resolution with support for 120Hz refresh rate. The display, protected by Gorilla Glass Victus+, is also designed to be operated with wet hands or gloves. The hardware is rated for IP68 water and dust resistance.
The Xcover 6 Pro is powered by a Snapdragon 778G chipset paried with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage via microSD. There’s a removable 4,050mAh battery and support for 15W charging, or charge via pogo pins on a supported cradle.
The phone features a programmable push-to-talk button, headphone jack, loudspeaker with boost mode, and support for Samsung DeX. In the camera department: a 50MP main camera with f/1.8 aperture and 8MP ultrawide shooter. Around front, there is a 13MP selfie camera and the Xcover 6 Pro will run Android 12 out of the box.
The Galaxy Tab Active4 Pro was announced earlier this month with a 10.1-inch TFT LCD screen protected by Gorilla Glass 5. This rugged tablet comes with an S Pen, and it includes a protective case. As the Xcover6 Pro, this device is also MIL-STD-810H compliant to withstand altitude, humidity, immersion, salt spray, dust, vibrations, and drops of up to 1m high.
Also powered by the Snapdragon 788G, the Tab Active4 Pro makes use of either 4GB RAM and 64GB storage or 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. The tablet has the push-to-talk button, volume boost, and can be used with wet hands or gloves on as well.
Both devices can also be used as POS systems with support for NFC payments on Samsung’s Knox Platform for POS. Knox Capture lets either device be used for scanning barcodes and inventory tracking.

The Samsung Galaxy Xcover 6 Pro will be available starting on October 20 though US carriers and later offered through Samsung.com, Samsung Business, Amazon Business, and IT channel partners. Pricing information hasn’t yet been confirmed by Samsung.
On the other hand, the Galaxy Tab Active4 Pro is now available from Samsung Business, Amazon Business, and Samsung’s IT channel partners for a starting price of $649.
