Absolutely love it, the article brought back so many memories and phones that I sought after growing up .
Thank you for this.
sony ericsson will always be my first preference
Redzuan, 30 Aug 2010What the next generation phone? The idea is a phone with sharing unlimited memory via online? ... moreI speculate the next generation of "phone" will be tablets with "phone" features, which can be linked to a smaller device (i.e. like a watch) with dialing keypad (so one doesn't need to take out the tablet all the time) via Bluetooth.
Anonymous, 14 Aug 2010first gsm with radio is motorola v2288On July 1, 1991, Finnish Prime Minister Harri Holkeri made the world’s first GSM call, using Nokia equipment
motorola 2266 did come year 2000 :)
i think this is hte best phone of nokia which have fully loaded feature
it is the best phone ever made in nokia upto 2010
What the next generation phone? The idea is a phone with sharing unlimited memory via online? so, don't worry if you lose your phone. Talk and SMS with free bluetooth? (I like it). Online unlimited radio frequency and clear view a TV channel? mmm... (please give me some a loyalty for this idea).
I hope the highest you pay for your phone, may less to pay your monthly bill.. haha..
Well done Samsung! Proudly inovative phone you're!
sha, 20 Aug 2010In 85% of features NOKIA is the the first company that brought to you new featuresYeah, seems like if the feature was invented by someone else, likely it wasn't mentioned....(or at least on a low profile).
Who used micro-SD first? Who offered a full touchscreen phone back in 2000? Who first offered a radio? Who invented charge by USB?
Apparently the article only focused on the accomplishment of certain brand...
One more comment about the 3.5 mm "standard". There is a nice website where you can find diagrams of zillions of plugs and connectors. I did a little research and I see that there is also a zillion ways to wire the 4-pin 3.5 mm plug (called the RSST plug by the pr0 and 1337 ;) ). Here is a few examples:
Again, my point is not that each company uses its own standard. My point is that each producer uses its own standard AND the same type of plug. Such a combination is very misleading.
Each manufacturer used to use its own headset standard with its own type of plug. You could not connect your headset to another kind of phone. Now you can. But this STILL won't work :P
In 85% of features NOKIA is the the first company that brought to you new features
I like it so much this phone so freindly , but there is one thing i do not like since i know the office appl is just vewer not editor :(
not like E71 !!! i wished nokia add this featsure then i will have it for sure :)
It seem that today's smart-phones are ever increasing in features and performance.
BUT ITS NO GOOD TO HAVE ALL THESE FEATURES AND POWER WHERE THE BATTERY TECHNOLOGY IS STILL BEHIND.
To accommodate these features/power there needs to be and advance improvement in smart-phone technology or very high battery capacity for its given size.
Anonymous, 16 Aug 2010HDMI port is being used in N8. Is there any non-nokia phone will come with HDMI?seems like the almighty brand is behind the HDMI game...Motorola released its XT720 with HDMI already (not to mention the CDMA Droid X), along with Samsung Galaxy S.
HDMI port is being used in N8. Is there any non-nokia phone will come with HDMI?
first is Sagem MC 825 FM :)
first gsm with radio is motorola v2288
And soon Nokia will set a new standard with the new USB-OTG feature, the rest of the pack will have to follow.
ive been waiting for the internet browsing and camera. How come it was missed. These two are vital features now a days. Even the screen resolution. . If u consider it.
I see that fm radio is covered and wonder: why do they miss television? Camera should be mentioned also.
What an excellent blog entry. Thanks for sharing it with me.
