Redzuan, 30 Aug 2010What the next generation phone? The idea is a phone with sharing unlimited memory via online? ... moreI speculate the next generation of "phone" will be tablets with "phone" features, which can be linked to a smaller device (i.e. like a watch) with dialing keypad (so one doesn't need to take out the tablet all the time) via Bluetooth.

What the next generation phone? The idea is a phone with sharing unlimited memory via online? so, don't worry if you lose your phone. Talk and SMS with free bluetooth? (I like it). Online unlimited radio frequency and clear view a TV channel? mmm... (please give me some a loyalty for this idea).

I hope the highest you pay for your phone, may less to pay your monthly bill.. haha..

Well done Samsung! Proudly inovative phone you're!

sha, 20 Aug 2010In 85% of features NOKIA is the the first company that brought to you new featuresYeah, seems like if the feature was invented by someone else, likely it wasn't mentioned....(or at least on a low profile).

Who used micro-SD first? Who offered a full touchscreen phone back in 2000? Who first offered a radio? Who invented charge by USB?

Apparently the article only focused on the accomplishment of certain brand...

One more comment about the 3.5 mm "standard". There is a nice website where you can find diagrams of zillions of plugs and connectors. I did a little research and I see that there is also a zillion ways to wire the 4-pin 3.5 mm plug (called the RSST plug by the pr0 and 1337 ;) ). Here is a few examples:

                http://pinouts.ru/CellularPhones-Nokia/nokia_headset_pinout.shtml
                http://pinouts.ru/PortableDevices/iphone_headphone_pinout.shtml
                http://pinoutsguide.com/PDA/blackberry_9700_headset_pinout.shtml
                http://pinouts.ru/PDA/blackberry_headset_pinout.shtml
                http://pinoutsguide.com/PDA/htc_hd2_headphone_pinout.shtml

Again, my point is not that each company uses its own standard. My point is that each producer uses its own standard AND the same type of plug. Such a combination is very misleading.

Each manufacturer used to use its own headset standard with its own type of plug. You could not connect your headset to another kind of phone. Now you can. But this STILL won't work :P

It seem that today's smart-phones are ever increasing in features and performance.

BUT ITS NO GOOD TO HAVE ALL THESE FEATURES AND POWER WHERE THE BATTERY TECHNOLOGY IS STILL BEHIND.

To accommodate these features/power there needs to be and advance improvement in smart-phone technology or very high battery capacity for its given size.

And soon Nokia will set a new standard with the new USB-OTG feature, the rest of the pack will have to follow.
