Let's talk about what honor do right that others are behind,the 3D face id is fantastic,the speakers are amazing and the best available and the screens are very high quality and bright with good eye protection,also they use the top end processor and stability is good.
They give a full 512gb of storage as standard.
The software is just ok,it has got better every year and android 16 on my magic 7 pro is working good.
Where honor are struggling is camera and video software,the hardware is there that's for certain and they haven't cut costs,but the camera and video software needs work it's not consistent and let's the side down and gives a poor value

Currently this phone goes for 1299 Euro with some cheap tablet, which is quite ridiculous. All the main rivals (Oppo, Samsung and Vivo) are 200 - 300 Euro cheaper.
Idk what Honor thinking, its unsalable. Once phones hits 1000k Euro, it might be a valud option, untill than...

Definitely 30% too expensive, mainly because camera disappointed
Poco F8 ultra take photos with marginal beter quality but price is more correct defined

I agree with your observations. I've been using Huawei and Honor phones for years and they're essentially the same devices just rebadged for markets outside of China.
MagicOS is seems outdated and you can see elements of EMUI in various levels of MagicOS. I've tried to get on with Honor devices but the software is poor.
Before anyone comes at me and says that I don't know what I'm taking about I've used Honor phones since the Honor 6 (not Magic 6 Pro) was released in 2014 and my last Huawei device was the Huawei P30 Pro.
I am currently using a Global Honor Magic 8 Pro and my last Honor device was the Honor V5.

Interesting. 7000mah battery and it gets only 1 more hour than iPhone pro max which is over 4400 mah only. Incredible engineering by Apple. And this doesn’t do good video. Is it cheap at least?

The photos are not "great" as you say, they look overexposed, the greens too green, the light blue too light blue and when you make a simple click to zoom, the photos do not look sharp, they are mediocre and there are many mid-range that do it much better, the 7 pro was already garbage for photos and they have decided to continue offering garbage at a golden price. The decision of honor and your review are regrettable.

seeing people complaining about EMUI OR MAGIC UI make me laugh so hard because i know they are introducing themselves as a big liar .... try complain as much you want ... no company are now is consumer use friendly but them not even apple or Google can be like that

They can claim they're separate brands all they want, and of course the global Huawei embargo compels them to do so, but they're still rebranded Huawei phones. I once had a Huawei P30 Pro and it was a finnicky phone to use. It had a lot of unnecessary bloatware and at that time there was no option to change the launcher. Can you believe it!!! An Android phone where you can't change the launcher!!! And also EMUI was very ugly. I guess Honor calls it Magic UI now.
Honor and Huawei make excellent hardware (Huawei Pura X for example) but for me their terrible software holds me back from buying their phones.
