imo Motorola or that A36 are a much better choice, like it's said in the above review. tho' i guess some people looking for a cheap phone aren't reading about specs and might buy it if they go to a store and the seller shoves this in their face. right? it happens.

Anonymous, 04 Dec 2025Better buy older phones that sell for less now than this Where I live you can get a 12/256 Nothing Phone 3a on discount for around the same price as this new 3a Lite. I’m probably in the minority that likes the styling of this 3a Lite, particularly the white model. I find it a lot less juvenile looking compared to the Nothing models with the glyph lights. Sadly, Nothing’s new “AI first” approach, the Essential Space nonsense that sends stuff to some rando server somewhere, and the upcoming bloatware included in Nothing OS 4 have soured me off the brand completely. They used to be the only budget brand you could debloat almost completely without rooting, but now they”re just like any spyware infused Temu phone brand. Actually worse because the Temu brands offer better specs for the money.

Look at the black pillar in the left in the indoor shot... the oversharpening results in the pillar looking wavy...

I recall Carl Pei saying in a video that he thinks macro and depth cameras are useless and cheap.
And here he is putting it on their official nothing lineup lol.

Anonymous, 03 Dec 2025It is the strategy of realme. Keep launching new phones with slight changes to keep the phone ... moreThis isnt the strategy of just Realme. Other Chinese brands do that.

Besides, Realme belong to BBK group, so they just follow what other companies of the group do and release similar phones.

Nothing is neither Chinese, nor belongs to any similar group.

I mean they even dropped their signature ''Glyph'' back design on this phone.

Anonymous, 03 Dec 2025No eSIM is a dealbreaker for meSame for me. IE Moto G86 and Sammy A36 got e-sim support and are definitely better choices in the mid-range market. No e-sim no buy.

Since when is 1080p screen a con?
                              Especially at this price range.
And also not a single word in the review regarding this.
                              So what’s up gsmarena?

I am sorry, but I still cannot get over the overall Nothing aesthetic choices, all of their phones look like somebody put a crap AI prompt in an early version of Bing Image Generator.

nothing wanted to be unique but by releasing garbage products that only saturate the lineup, they're the same as everyone else.

By being unable to make a proper flagship or even make a huge splash in the accessories market, you could say they're just..... Nothing.
