Generally speaking, phones should already be able to do this anyway. Maybe certain things could over time get stuck in the hinge, but I don't know for sure, and this is kind of a small development, all things considered. Wake me up when foldables get an IP68 rating, or at least an IP58 rating, because that's when they won't eventually self-destruct themselves through dust building up inside their hinge. Oh, and I say this as a huge advocate of book-style foldable phones.

Samsung either got to do a 360% degree overhall of the Z fold designs or they are finish, writing is already on the wall of Z Fold 6, 40% drop preorder for 2023 for Z fold 5 and Z fold 6 another 11%, so 51% drop last 2 years alone!

I stopped reading after knowing this phone only get 3 OS upgrades, thats even fewer upgrades than entry level Galaxy A25.

Because of that reason i will choose Samsung over any chinese foldables.
Even entry level Galaxy A25 has longer software support than this mediocre Vivo foldables.
The maximum money i would pay for any phone with 3 OS upgrades is USD 300.

I don't like the photos of this phone, overexposed and oversharpened, Vivo x100 Pro's camera software was much better from the beginning.

It's no better than ipx8 that Samsung fold5 or previous has had so yeah it's not even a real advantage it's a pointless certification.
The software support time of 7 years and some Samsung features in software are the only things left but it comes at a cost.

Oh.. i was waiting for Fold6, but got disappointed. Would actually love to buy this one! Sadly, import fee would be insane if it doesn't get at least to some surrounding countries in Europe. Fingers crossed.
