Slow charging almost 2h for full charging is embarrassing in this day and age for a budget phone, let alone a flagship. Still that annoying crease? And they ask 2000 for it? Nah, next!

i am definitely not in to a fold or flip phone, those crease just hurt my eyes...lol
So the cameras havent changed at all but they sneakily decide to make them look so much bigger to fool people..
What's interesting is how close the xiaomi foldable comes in performance with a snapdragon 8gen2. So what we have here is a small phone when opened out turns into an equally small tablet with a visible crease. You get almost 10hours less on calls than the previous generation, you get back home after using it as a phone to find out battery needs charging before you can even attempt to use it as a tablet and this will take over 1hour 30min. Finally you open your tablet to play warzone mobile only for it to overheat due to poor thermals. Oh and the camera is three years old.. All this for more than a galaxy s24 ultra. Samsung should pay us just to use this monstrosity.
Repackaging 101, samsung is becoming the new apple

You can not benefit from a bigger screen... moreFor what it's worth, I got way more mileage out of Fold5 speakers than out of S24 Ultra speakers. Mostly cos the Fold5 is designed so that when you hold it opened up, you can easily do so without covering the speakers. Most of the time when using my S24 Ultra horizontally my hands in natural positions were blocking BOTH of the speakers and all I got was muffled crap sound and I had to actively keep my hands so that I wouldnt block the speakers.
How normal is it to pay €2000 for something that is just a redesigned Fold 5 from last year that can now be bought for €1000?
Went to a retailer to try it out a bit. I used a Fold5 for like 6 months and mostly hated the narrow cover screen. It's actually quite a bit better now, although it could still be a little better. Ofc also nice that its slimmer and lighter too. It's definitely kinda disappointing that the cameras and battery and charging are still the same, but other than they charging they werent too bad to begin with. Its just lazy to recycle to same cameras for 3 generations. One exception though, the inside selfie camera is still absolute worthless garbage that should not exist. It is not an acceptable quality for a work video conference and its not usable for anything. Its awful workflow to close the phone just to take a snapchat selfie of acceptable quality.
But yeah, will probably get this with Samsung Full Flex to try out at least for some months. Ive missed my Fold5 and in the end this is still a little better in the ways that were the most problematic for me. Had an S24 Ultra but while it was nice, I miss the big tablet screen in my pocket
Still the same, overprices, useless cr@p as usual.
You can not benefit from a bigger screen with such aspect ratios.... Maybe browsing is okay, but a 16:9 video stream will barely bigger as on S24U.
And you get worse audio quality, worse battery runtime, a huge brick when closed, slow charging, almost no IP protection, no wifi 7, worse SAR, no pen and somewhat worse camera specs as well - for ~1000EUR more.
One must really-really be crazy to choose this.
So the battery life and charging speed has actually behind the Galaxy Z Fold 5 , whilst increasing the price great job Samsung

A larger and wider cover screen (like the competition's) would have made it more practical to use closed while you are on the go.

I also don't have big hands, but for 2000€ I want a LARGE DISPLAY with high resolution where significantly more information can be displayed. For example larger Excel spreadsheets, 2 different multitasking screens that I'm working on at the same time, etc. You need to have a mobile phone that still fits in your pocket, but when unfolded it is the biggest it can be. And I will also give €3,000 if there are top cameras.
