Jpegs are too disgustingly "enhanced" that you do not see difference until you look at raw files (those unprocessed raws).

That's what I'm saying.

So what, if it doesn't sell well it means that it's a bad phone? That's not the logic to go with, especially since you don't and can't even know yet how many units will be sold till the end of the year. Maybe it'll sell more, maybe not, but until then, you can't affirm it for sure

Last year total global smartphones shipment was 1.14 billion , and S23u just barely sold 12 million units . Googled it yourself here in gsmarena on the s ultra sale history.

ViVo x100 has better heat control.

Samsung and canon have made sensors for more than 20 years, still way below sony.
Let alone omnivision.
Imx707 > ov50h.
Using omnivions is way to reduce costs. If all were same price, all chinese phones would use only exmor.

Even though they didn... moreI don't call (display flaws+charging speed+camera(comparing to it's rivals)+46% GPU stability+ {and if you go drop test... You know}) barely, but yeah at the end of the year will sell more units than it's Android competitors. So it would get (phone of the year) from many sites/YouTubers.
IMO it is only UI/UX that Samsung has advantage over other(mostly Chinese) brands.

Omnivision is comparable to Sony in terms of quality, the difference is 95/100 kind of thing, VERY close. Case in point, the 1/2" telephoto they made, absolute work of art in the Vivo X100 Pro.

That oversharpening is extreme, also oversaturated reds and greens. Disappointing. It seems Samsung developers have zero sense of aesthetics.

IMO you'll need to change the charging port about 4 to 5 years, & the battery around the same time:
3 years= Heavy user/ intensive gamer.
4 years= Medium user.
5 years= Light user. (Non gamer).

When reviewing S23U, there were not direct competitiors to compete with S23U, but iPhone 14 PM (if iOS). At that time, all were praising S23U for bringing 200MP with its tech, SD8gen2 which is better than gen1, etc.
Now, all hope that S24U will bring the new advanced tech but, no, S24U brings a new telephoto only, well SD8gen3 is new but it is not too advance comparing with gen2, Flat display with thinnest bezel, Gorilla Armor and titanium that only make it beautiful.
S24U is only for people who need it urgent. S24U ticks all the well-done things, and the buyer wont be disappointed after all.

S23Ultra doesn't have 10x camera. It has 9.6x

just went through the photo samples,
I think the 50MP photos look great in good lighting conditions. Check out the 50MP photo of Park Hotel Vitosha and see the trees at right side of the photo. They look great! But if you zoom in, you'll notice over sharpening of the photo. I think the level of sharpening here is quite acceptable.
