Everybody complains about it being slower than Redmi 7 (and R7 was garbage) and battery worse than quadcore R6A.

Else every issue about product failure could be attributed to manufacturing defect of a single piece. The scope of improvement will get defeated. We have paid hard cash not to buy and live with problems or compromise for deception. We want Xiaomi to grow and be more customer centric to their concerns.

Redmi 12 5G has software problems such as chaotic settings layout (non-intuitive interface), frequent system lags and hanging issues, network issues and often over heating for no reason. I couldn't find any RAM or third party app issues or memory saturation. Have to struggle to get most things done. I have been using the phone for one year now.

Stay away from this phone. 4g2 is apparently defect. When you start using 5g network phone will overheat and underclock to speed of first lumia phones. i am not joking.

But believe me it's Electronic item made by Humans. So it's likely to have some or the other issue. And it was your bad luck that out of all pieces, you got the faulty piece.
I'll tell you, I got 2 Samsung A23 phones, one for my wife & other for my father in law. Out of the 2 phones within a month one of my phone had motherboard issue where as other phone is working fine. So it doesn't means that Company is not worthy of making phones. It's the particular piece that has problem and not the company.
Also for your information, I am using Redmi 12 5G since August 2023. My experience with Xiaomi for the 1st time is very good.
So brother, it's not the company that is bad, it's just the manufacturing defect of that particular phone which you have purchased.
