It's way better than it used to be, but my Bose QC45s still cannot get a usable wireless connection on public transport. None of the headphones I had before these could either, granted these are better than most but it's still not even close to usable.
I'm not even talking about the audio quality here as that's both subjective and more influenced by the outside environment than anything else.

Anonymous, 11 Sep 2023Actually there are many who love to use their pre-existing audiophile grade wired headphones. It's super cringe to use the word "audiophile" and 99% of the people that use it on their site are just larping and use garbage like AT or Philips or god forbid some trash from Aliexpress. If someone REALLY wanted the BEST audio quality they would revel at the ability to use small external dac dongles or already carry around a dedicated DAP. They wouldn't use a garbage 3.5mm jack in an OS that resamples the files. These are the same people that would brag about their files being converted to flac or think muddy bass sounds good. The reason why the LG V phones were good was because the dedicated chips BYPASSED the OS molestation, no other phone does that currently on the market, which is why claiming 3.5mm = le audiophile is cringe

This phone would be marketable if it had a physical key in this size. Even after Blackberry, there are more than 20 million people who demand a physical keyboard device!

BT
- Have batteries that wear out after only a few years and cannot be replaced (in many models). The batteries are also not likely to be recycled, so they contribute to the growing pollution issue.
- Easy to lose (earbud type) which usually means that you'll have to buy a new pair.
Wired:
- No batteries means that they can last much longer.
- Can be easily recycled

Who wants to listen to music with cords in the way like it's the mid 2000s. Only Smartphone nerd edgelords or audiophiles complaining about it (1% of the pop)
When people moan about bezels I assume they use a case. I hate cases, and need a bezel big enough to stop accidental touches
justasmile, 04 Aug 2023Just because of those useless features and you're not recommending S23.
You're funny.Fair point on the SD card slot (I've had so much unreliability and outright failures I genuinely would rather use cloud storage at this point) but the headphone jack is something I think a lot of people really want back (again, I've had so much unreliability with BT and headphone adapters I would have given up wireless charging to get it back if I had to).
I actually bought this phone and really, really like it. I realise it doesn't have a telephoto, but I used it a total of 3 times on my last phone in 2 and a half years so it literally isn't an issue for me
Oh and the back is plastic, which I think is a huge advantage nobody seems to be talking about anymore.
justasmile, 04 Aug 2023That's just overpriced and it's not coming with telephoto camera. S23 is better. ... moreThe S23 camera may be better but I wouldn't make that claim about the software or the dual sim support. Both of which have been atrocious on recent Samsung phones.
justasmile, 04 Aug 2023I don't need an SD card for my electric fan. It can't display images. You seriously don't know the difference between an electrical device and an electronic device??

Yeah and I'm waiting for you to say that it doesn't have a headphone jack
Chaos X 1982, 29 Jun 2023Well, it's the single most important thing for any electronic device,I don't need an SD card for my electric fan. It can't display images.
Chaos X 1982, 30 Jun 2023No it's not, it also don't have SD card slot and it doesn't even have 3.5mmJust because of those useless features and you're not recommending S23.
You're funny.
I was excited about this fone but after the release i was wery disappointed on the marginal upgrades and decided not to waste any money on this. I mean it really is tempting device but 900€ for over 50% of last years tech and mediocre software support.

Anonymous, 08 Jul 20232 Years of updates for what is Asus's best selling phone is a deal breaker for meIt's got 4 years of security updates though, and while that isn't the best, it's double what the Zenfone 9 offered, which was the main reason why many didn't buy one.
Anonymous, 08 Jul 20232 Years of updates for what is Asus's best selling phone is a deal breaker for meName 1 update you received on your phone that made a meaningful difference and wasn't already on your phone from the beginning that led to your decision to keep using that phone and not upgrade to a newer model.
I bet its none. Most people on here wouldn't even be able to tell the difference between Android 11, 12, and 13 unless they were using a Pixel phone, and they would only be able to tell because the Pixel phone has no features to begin with 😂
