this phone is amazing
Wait, not a word about the new RAW mode? Why, isn't it impressive?
Anonymous, 29 Apr 2023Not worth the price really... just for camera buy ? no thanksIf you only care about the camera, buy a dedicated M43/APS-C/FF camera with interchangeable lens. They still make way better photo than smartphone cameras. The main reason you buy smartphone in the first place is mobile productivity.
The false color in the photos is ugly, can't you see it?
[deleted post]Yup samsung fans is mucu toxic than apple..Xiaomi even has better cooling than s23 ultra. Even the the less powerful sd8+ gen 1 from xiaomi 12t pro beats s23 ultra sd8gen2 for galaxy in terms of performance it has lesser fps lol..
wow! thanks for the amazing review

Getting more and more annoyed by the fact that nowadays these reviews buzz around the cameras way too much and the rest of the specs feel they are quickly side mentioned to get to the cameras.

The 13 Pro is between the 23 Plus and Ultra, that's why there is now an Ultra. I was just commenting about your comment on dxomark. I think we all focus on the absolute score too much in any case. When a phone gets 4.8 or 4.7 or 4.6 here it is obviously very good. It's similar for dxomark for a high scoring phone but the absolute score depends on a weighting system. I only buy Chinese phones as I'm in China and they offer good value for money within China in my opinion. We need to read reviews to find out the strengths and weaknesses rather than just looking at the overall scores

For instance - iPhone is notorious for applying excessive sharpening and clarity boost which results in severe ringing artifacts, while Xiaomi's HDR tonemapping sometimes exhibits a halo around the high-contrast edges, but you will never know these details just by looking at the subscores because they are both taken into account under the "artifacts" category. If you're not a fan of oversharpened mess, iPhone is automatically out of your choice, even though it technically scores higher in this particular subcategory and "details" section too.
I've been saying this for quite a while now, but DxOMark is only useful when you know what to look for. Some say it's not to be trusted simply because their phone manufacturers don't get the highest score, while others blindly believe that the overall scores they give are something everyone else should also worship, but in the end, neither is far from being true.
