If we were talking tablets I would get your point. But on phones Apple keeps doing things their own way and the screen estate is way too small.
Even if you were to keep your phone for 5 years, the 7200 will still prevail.

Still better, it still has 2 year software updates and 3 year security updates left, which is the same amount of software support as V27. The only problem is its still 60hz. Still usable, and still selling.

You've got your M2 SSD for your system and softwares...
And you've got mechanical harddrive for your media.
MicroSD card is fast enough for 4k videos. There's no reason to spend spaces on UFS 3 or 4 storage.
Reason why OEM removed it is simple : force people to spend extra money to get 256GB or 512GB Instead 128GB.
