Anonymous, 03 Aug 2023I'm considering of buying this phone for my partner. He doesn't play games or music ... moreId say yes just bought this phone, previously had a51 & its definitely a upgrade. Faster chip, bigger battery, faster charging, brighter screen, 51 doesnt have ip67 water & dust resistant rating like 54 & Android OS updates will stop at 13, only negative i see vs a51 is this one doesn't have a 3.5 mm headphone jack but that appears to be the norm nowdays.
Apparently not so much of a upgrade over the a52 based on comments here. Wish i had known that before i bought it but considering i got it on sale for black friday at $139 (USD) I have no regrets thus far.

Bought for $139 on a early black Friday deal, time will tell but so far seems like a solid midrange phone and pretty good deal at that price

But I WOULD like to know where the power and volume buttons are placed on outside of phone?? And how's the colour in photos? (All my A21's have had appalling colour (lack of!) + dreadful white out (?) when videoing (eg.used to sing on stage - any lighting at all, and that's all you see...light! Nothing else! While those with iPhone, perfect vision!).
My most important aspect is the button placement, and also quality of Audio? Can you help me find out please??

I have a model A54 (a546b) and it has a blurring defect when shooting at close range with the main camera. The s23 also has a similar defect in its camera. It is very problematic to photograph document text with uniform sharpness throughout the frame.

I am very confused between the two phones A73 & A54. I care about the battery, performance, and camera. I do not play heavy games, but I use the phone all day, so I have to worry about heat and lag.

ToniX, 01 Aug 2023Why the a52? Any reason?On the previous June 13 2023 review, its sad to see the A52s being replaced by A54. I think due to the SD 778-5G (6nm) being 2 years old now compared to A54's Exynos 1380 (5 nm) - Still the comparison between these 2 cpu's are not that far-apart.

A52s = AnTuTu: 506432 (v9) , GeekBench: 2801 (v5.1)
A54 = AnTuTu: 506678 (v9) , GeekBench: 2703 (v5.1)
The only edge A54 has over A52s is the battery has more capacity which adds a few hours.
