Who provides the glass for the Magic 5 pro?
With my experience unbranded ones are more prone to break than branded ones.

no make sense to pay attention on that ratings. If you will see history DXOMARK before gave highest ranking to huawei , now honor, and gave worther for apple, samsung and other brand, and its not real.

I have Honor Magic 4 pro, two things I don't like, battery not too good and I can't make bigger icons like OPPO find or One plus !

Anonymous, 28 Mar 2023Honor Magic 5 Pro Zoom is best. Check Dxo Mark Zoom Score. It is best Zoom phone camera EVER.Hard to say. Dxomark only test zoom at certain ranges (not sure what zoom factors they test). Definitely for long range zoom (like 10x and above) it won't be as good as something like the s23 ultra in daylight anyway. I think it's hard to say which zoom camera is the best as it depends on what zoom is measured e.g. 2x or 3x or 5x or 10x or 20x. Different phones may be stronger depending on what zoom factors are used. Also depends on the lighting I think. Oppo's new find x6 pro for example and Huawei's p60 pro seem to be very good in lowlight zoom.

However the main camera is excellent. Check the nighttime photos in this comparison with the main camera from this Japanese reviewer. Look at the few where he crops in and it is fairly clear that the magic 5 pro has better detail than the x90 pro+ and s23 ultra in night samples provided. However, when he compares the night zoom then the other two are indeed better in general

As i understood this review is not based on the final software version. After comparison I'm not sure that Xiaomi 13pro ultrawide camera takes better photos. Also it would be great to compare photos capture speed honor falcon feature vs x13pro and s23 ultra ,because i doubt samsung will be first there.

I'd prefer the honor one due to the independent rf chip that boosts the antenna signals for 5g and wifi because I have poor signal strength in my apartment and the signal strength of the magic 5 pro is really really good according to real users but that doesn't matter if you live in an area with very good signal. For most people it would boil down to software preference, which brand they prefer, and price in their region. The cameras are closely matched as are most of the specs. Unfortunately though the Honor doesn't support gms in China so I wouldn't get it for that reason
