Anonymous, 08 Feb 2023Overpriced joke. These camera shots are very ugly.Yea, camera samples do not look impressive at all. If camera had been good I would have been very interested in getting this phone.
And Zenfone 9 got 4.3 out of 5 stars.
If you needed anymore proof that GSMA ratings are worthless, this is it.
Great phone, however, it's too expensive, at least for now. I don't quite like iOS, but for now I would prefer cheaper iPhone 12. If prices go down below, S23 will be great choice.

S22 had better call endurance hmmmm. Since i rely on that im happy with S22 but in few years ill upgrade to S23 then it will be like 700 phone

Eric20, 08 Feb 2023I think the Sony IMX766 has better image quality from what I remember. Samsung sensors are sti... moreWell, Sony sensors have always been the best in bussiness. I have read some pro reviews that state the major difference between Sony and Samsung sensors is hardware noise suppression which is more efficient on Sony, that's why pictures are better and more detailed with those sensors as software doesn't need to compensate as much.
Also IMX766 is very capable sensor, after all it is used in Vivo X80 Pro and Oppo Find X5 Pro and look how high they stand in picture quality.
Can someone explain to me how the selfie camera can be 12 megapixels when it takes 9 megapixel pictures?

As long Google is using tensynos, nothing gonna change.
Even samsung does not want exynos, google still using.
Now I really want to see what the competition will be between Samsung and Xiaomi:
Samsung S23 vs Xiaomi 13
Samsung S23+ vs Xiaomi 13 Pro
The two things that I'm annoyed by Samsung is:
* The low amount of RAM.
* The slow charging speed (GSM should have listed this as cons)
I would have liked Samsung to be 8GB/256GB and 12GB/512GB which is what Xiaomi will be able to provide (they also have 8GB/128B and 12GB/256GB). The charging speed shouldn't be any less than 45W, it's year 2023 now and we will be irritated by this slow 25W speed in one or two years when standard speed will be over 50W.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is proven to be a good efficient SoC when it comes to the battery. I hope this pressure Google to up its battery efficiency game on the Pixel 8 series.
Can we stop using the term "compact" for anything that happens to be the smallest?
A phone just shy of 71mm wide is not "compact."
Why in earth would one buy this instead of an iPhone 14 ? Not to mention 13 or even 12 would be a much better buy.

Anonymous, 08 Feb 2023In Indian market S22 price is almost in the same ballpark as Google pixel 7 pro. Which is the ... moreIf you don't mind the 7 Pro's size/bulk, I'd go with that. The S22 is a great phone for those who like a lighter/more compact phone, but battery life will probably not be sufficient if your a moderate to heavy user. Also, the cameras on the 7 Pro have the edge, but the image/video quality is broadly similar on both phones.
My S21 takes good photos, but I much prefer the natural processing of my Pixel 4a 5G. That's probably why I'll always gravitate towards a Pixel for my main phone and a Samsung for my work phone. I wish Samsung would make the photos more true to life.
