Canon has camera with 45MP and is working on sensors with mo... moreNo, I wanted to say that maybe Apple has found a way to achieve a resolution comparable to 24 megapixels because it is a Dual Pixel sensor. Actually this should not be possible due to the microlenses, but surprisingly, a high resolution is possible with Quad Pixel autofocus sensors (Asus Zenfone 9).

Any AF system can be used at any resolution.

Awful phone.
Apple should just make 3 devices of same size, like 6.3". All with A16.
- 1 with dual camera, 6GB/+ 128/256,
- 1 with triple camera, 8GB + 256/512
- 1 with triple camera and periscope , 12Gb + 256/512/1000, higher clocked cpu/gpu

The 2x zoom photos surprise me because the iPhone 14 doesn't have the 49 megapixel sensor. Though, there are sometimes bad artifacts (for example the clock) and it is not as good as a 2x camera.
Not sure what they have done here. The sensor actually has 24 megapixels because it is a dual pixel sensor and usually such dual pixel sensors can only produce 12 megapixel photos. But it's very surprising that high resolution Quad Pixel autofocus (2x2 ocl) sensor images are possible, so maybe high resolution dual pixel images are possible, too?? It actually shouldn't be possible, but I thought the same about Quad Pixel sensors and Samsung already advertised the dual pixel resolution in the past (Samsung has advertised 100 megapixel photos from the Gn1 sensor, but no smartphone company has shown that this is possible, rather the opposite).

Had it been an android phone it wouldn't have gotten more than 3.5 stars but since it's an iphone, gsmarena won't dare rating anything form apple below 4 starts.
