"Since"? Your entire argument is based on a baseless assumption that, I'm saying that the external display is important because I feel the need to defend Xiaomi, even though it's actually the other way round.

You will be using it as a regular phone if you don't feel comfortable using it as a tablet. You're again falsely assuming that people will suddenly stop using a "phone" display once they gain the ability to use a larger inner display on their phones. The outer displays will always remain important on foldable devices and that's why Samsung has been putting more effort into improving it.

The software experience (functionality) on xiaomi fold 2 is not close to samsung fold 4. Xiaomi is good for Chinese market and Chinese apps. Fold 4 software and it's functionality is unmatched.

Foldable are gimmick..Too thick when folded. Not my cuppa tea. A phone should be below 8mm thin. Last time I had a big phone and it got bent in my pocket.

And I gave a concrete reason in my post, instead of just going full brand-blasting.. Even their Ultra phone is just a "good attempt", to be honest.
The finese is just not there.
I mean, what's the point of 8k video if its just upscaled blur occupying 500MB/ minute?! Even 4K & 1080p "good here but not there", what to do?
Slow motion video in highest setting is a disgrace to the concept, it inserts artificial frames.
And 1080p@30 for vLoggers, that's what a 2022 mid flagship capable of??

Fold 4 is still the better foldable device compared to the MixFold 2, at least according to my own judgment. The only advantages to Xiaomi is the almost 1mm thinner design and creaseless display and gapless design.
