Yext, 09 Sep 2022Well, it's also called the X30 (Pro) in china.Makes perfect sense, similar products with similar names. I guess that's real competition and brand loyalty

My personal opinion is that Motorola should have made the telephoto at least 5x since the main can just do the 2x-4x. And I know they are only including the telephoto for the portrait mode but it can also be done using a single sensor and their 200MP is more than enough for the job as background blur. or they can even add a 2mp depth sensor that matter. Gimping the telephoto was the only thing they messed up on this device. such a shame as this could have been a real flagship contender.
I don't see the issues, the pictures look good to me. They are extremely high-res tho obviusly so make sure to let them load and view them on a quality display.
MrEINS, 09 Sep 2022Just slightly increase the top bezel + move the camera to the left corner = No in-display cutout. There is a brand called Meizu, they tried that. Look where they are now.
Wow, the full size 200MP photo looks better than the photo from telephoto camera.
Little Penguin , 08 Sep 2022Lord, what horrible photos.
Look worse than even Moto G62.
Edges are too distorted.
M... moreGN2 was best Camera sensor from Samsung.
They should use that on S23 Ultra instead 200mp HP series sensor.
Specs are amazing but this flagship mobile is having IP 52 protection disappointing
What about the price and launch in india?
Samsung's sensor still sucks I see compared to Sony's IMX sensors. I guess Samsung's camera sensor needs a heavy post-processing AI to make it look good. That or it needs a serious partnership with Leica or Hasselblad for proper calibration assuming if it really is a good and capable camera sensor.
Waiting for the comment:
No sd card slot no buy.
No headphone jack no buy.
Where are you?
Motorola is chinese lenovo which was known as worst phone compnay back in the days. Save your money people and also do a moral choice not supporting chinese products.
Quite good cameras, albeit wide angle JN1 is a bit on a soft side. There is obvious signs of heavy fringing removed by software (this is where softness come from). But all shots were taken wide open, most camera lens are soft at these settings. Thus it's interesting to see capabilities of camera software in terms of manual or semi-automatic control over diaphragm and exposure.
For me this classic setup of 14/23/50mm lens looks like perfect dslr replacement which is always in hands. Fourth lens with 100mm tele/macro parameters would be nice addition though.
Just slightly increase the top bezel + move the camera to the left corner = No in-display cutout.
The phone also has the option to automatically choose between 12mp and 50mp photos. The camera automatically decided tgis based on ambient lighting. It is turned off by default though so you have to enable it in the settings. Hope gsmarena can turn this on for the full review so that we can see some 50mp daylight photos. After all this is one of their selling points and one of the selling points of the hp1 sensor so it would be good to see
That's very courageous price for a Motorola, regardless of specs, €900! Curved screen, looks like an older Samsung. Take a number, Motorola. Next, please.
Samples are horror show.
Even worse than bad stuff from Oppo.
Having a 201 megapixel 23mm camera and a 12 megapixel 50mm camera sounds a bit ridiculous, but the 50mm camera does resolve certain details better indeed. This means that with Lenovo's /Samsung's algorithm, the 201 megapixel sensor can partly perform much worse than a 60 megapixel Bayer sensor. The 50mm camera also should perform better in low light than the digital zoom.
