Does the USB-C port support analog earphones? It's a nice compact looking phone. Shame about the lack of micro SD card support though, that's a real bummer.

[deleted post]Yeah, maybe....But for the $99 trade in price in Samsung's early offer for upgraders...I traded in my S21 ultra. Yeah, I got a bit less phone, but an upgraded processor. I don't need the 12mb my ultra had...not a game player. I honestly don't see a drop in performance, and the hyped bad battery life in the Flip4 just hasn't been a problem for me. ...And the cameras are fine in the Flip4 as well. Yes, the ultra's cameras were more and better, but it just doesn't matter.

Sold my Flip3 and wouldn't have if it had the battery of the Flip4. But like this, Im pretty mad about Samsung. The Flip 4 is not even an Upgrade, it is what the Flip 3 should've been and nothing else. And even this upgrade is not enough. 3700mAh are still too small. Im not sure why gsmarena isnt talking about it, but both, the flip 3 and flip 4, use heavy background-force-closing which is hindering multi tasking to save battery. Parallel to this the phone is thick when folded, even thicker than the flip 3 since the cameras stick out more. Its also heavier. Why isnt Samsung closing the wedged gap between both halves just like Xiaomi? The crease is still annoying me.
So yes, I'm still somehow a fan of foldables, yet I won't switch from pixel to flip 4 or fold 4 any time soon. Wish there was more international competition to Samsungs Flip and Fold. The Pixel Notepad will sadly just be the fold 4 with some clicks and whistles - why isnt the xiaomi mix fold 2 seeing an international release? It would help Samsung to release better foldables.

YUKI93, 25 Aug 2022The S22 phones, especially the smallest model, also share the same SoC as the Z Fold4 and Z Fl... moreyou are right but,even smallest s22 has bigger cooling. compare benchmark tests. s22 can sustain peak performance much longer although it has a less less efficient SoC than flip4. this aggressive throttling should be due to prevent overheating.

walkman8, 24 Aug 2022Even more than Genshin Impact or 4k video recording? didn't compare side by side. but, dex is usually used with charging since it is a workstation(more multitasking used) to be used for 7-8 hours a day. so,it may sustain heat for longer time compared to a game. especially, wireless dex with wireless charging makes it way hotter. even 2017 samsung flagships support dex so,I see no other reason to make an exception to flip series.

When you compare battery .. you also have to compare the size of it,
iPhone mini has a tiny battery .. no wonder after 30 min it is 60% charged.

Anonymous, 24 Aug 2022Motorola Razr 2022 is better thn Flip 4. it is also cheaper than Samsung and it has better specs.It is? Have you used both phones? Do you know which phone has the better screen, battery life, camera, and software features? I haven't seen any reviews of the Motor Razr from someone actually using the phone for a week or two.

Portability is the primary one IMO - the form factor is easier to carry around in small pockets or handbags, and I imagine that especially appeals to women
