hi. i got my A33 5g just this March (2023). i generally love it - the screen is bright, the display colors and smoothness is great, the camera is also great (tho i still have to get used to how to manage the focus lol)
i guess i just don't like that it didn't come shipped with a charger, esp. since it only includes a type-c to type-c cable (i thought it would be usb to type-c, could've used my old samsung charger). the AOD is also missed.
but i wanna know if others have the same exp: i got a Baseus charging cable that's usb to type-c, thinking i could charge via my old chargers and my PC. but on the PC, while charging and storage access are recognized, it seems like it's still not enough to power to actually charge. so my batt% still goes down, never up. is this normal?

1) Virtual proximity sensor issue. Screen never off unless you literally touch the phone to ear or skin.
2) In night time when you are outside and call comes and the phone is in pocket. Then if you want to pick the phone, the screen never allow you it pick the call. It detects as accidental touch.
3) With mobile data phone gets hot during day time.
4) Due to lack of AOD, screen will not lit on notification arrival. This is major drawback of this phone. Even low budget phone of 6k mobile also has this feature. Due to this you have to tap the phone two times and un-lock the phone to see the notification details.

When you search for review certainly you will find some good and bad, but believe me in nutshell samsung is not worth buying when it comes for smart phone, you will get Highly disappointed about it's build quality, back cover continuous coming off, every now and then it hangs, you sim registration get failed, you have to refresh it before every task, better to be without phone instead of having samsung phone.

i am very much dissapointed with samsung a33 5g. purchased it in january end week 2023. its been 8 months the mobile is going worse day by day .charging battery for 1 hour still its in 77 percent. thye mobile is heating a lot which it shouldnt after updating it has become worst. call picking up problem.the pop up comes after pressing power on off button.i have invested around 26000 for this mobile but what i think its not worthed..rather than realme 9i which i have is working good with good battery stanby and no hanging problems.

Easily the worst phone I have owned.. 7 months later and problems all the time. Phone reboots during calls. Bad battery life.. freezing.. did a master reset and software update, same thing occurs. Best to stay clear.

I'm finding the only weak point to this phone is battery life: 7.5 hours sot on WiFi - 35% brightness, mostly just browsing and social media

Avoid this phone. I would not buy this phone again and I would recommend you avoid this phone. The pictures from the camera are lower quality than expected for the price. Even with slight darkness the pictures show bluring. Even with a slight pinch zoom of the standard pictures, blurring is observed. Frequent screen freezes even now, June 2023, with samsung updates applied. I would only recommend this phone if sold at 150euros. Goodbye Samsung Exynos chips, goodbye Samsung.
