I checked up the photos in comparison tool and they look worse than G100 ones, especially in good light. G100 is more than 2x times cheaper and has SD card slot to boot.

Moto selling this model for insane pricing in India. With this battery life price should be less than 500$. We are not paying premium for company failure.

REMEMBER, not too long ago the price of the 8 series increased by 40%! You really think that dropped since then, not to mention COVID and chip shortages? This is one huge reason why you aren't getting any more. Things like Poco are unicorns.

This phone is dead based on the skin alone.
The quick settings are an abomination. How come my LG phone, a phone from a company who had to quit, gives 6 ~actual~ quick toggles and 16 toggles on expansion when this one can only manage 4 and 8? It's ugly and less functional, who wins here? Design nerds who drool over their own work? Seriously, LG UX 10 and 11 are both miles ahead of Android 12 in looks (I personally prefer 10 to 11, 11 looks more iOS-y polished, whereas 10 looks more like Android).
There is so much space wasted on the notification panel and the media player is just hideous. I fully expect Android 13 to start nesting even more stuff inside of itself and taking padding to a further level. God forbid we have any kind of information density or tech-y looking design, it's just full on baby shapes and color saturation that looks like somebody's high is ending and it's back to grim reality.

Moto and Nokia are the only options besides a Pixel for people that want stock Android. I'm not sure which company is worse. I'd go for a Pixel 5a before Moto or Nokia. That said, I hate what Google did to Android 12, so I'll stick with Samsung and Realme.

It would be nice if there was an option to filter out the phones with a flat/curved display in the phone finder section.
I am convinced I can never accept a phone with a curved display, problem is very few 1440p displays are flat, only ones I can think of are the realme gt2 pro and redmi k50/pro

Did not realize that the official price is expensive ... In my country this phone is the cheapest Snapdragon Gen 1, less than $600 for basic model .. albeit it not officially sold by Moto / Lenovo.
It's even cheaper than realme gt 2 pro.
