The usual fill hardware from xiaomi. Only 1 android update then no more which means the device becomes junk quickly.

If you are planning to buy the pen as well DO NOT!! It has so much bugs. and since it was almost $70 I thought it would be atleast durable, but in less than 30 times of dropping it (on accident) It even added MORE bugs like for example: when it's a hundred percent sometimes even when ur not using it it will be 0% and most of the times it wont even charge. I've tried to look up solutions for this but there was none.

This tablet comes with stock 22.5 watt fast charger which charge 5% to 100% in just 2 hours 30 minutes. If you have other Xiaomi devices which comes with at least 33 watt fast charging, it takes 1 hour 30 minutes to fully charged because this tablet supports up to 33 watt fast charging.
Talking about performance, it's really great and almost par with iPad 8th gen (but not as powerful as iPad 9th gen).
The price is actually cheaper than iPad 8th gen and iPad 9th gen if you talk about the storage options you choose.
And... if you're on the go and need internet, not quite recommended as this tablet is WiFi only (doesn't support cellular 4G) unless share WiFi hotspot from your mobile phone or portable 4G/5G WiFi hotspot.
This tablet is still great for those who want cheaper option to play games, do drawing and much more compared to other options available in the market. It can update to Android 13 from Android 11 and I guess could be the last OS Android update for this tablet.
Really hope Xiaomi come out with Xiaomi Pad 6 this year to replace with current outdated Xiaomi Pad 5 and really hope they will use Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 processor at least with price under RM2000. I don't mind if they slap in IPS LCD display at that price point.

If Xiaomi bothered to put USB-C 3.1 or 3.2 with wired video output support on their Snapdragon 8 series-powered phones, then we can have this kind of UI when connecting to an external monitor or a lapdock. Not everyone needs to own a phone and a tablet, especially when the phone can be turned into a PC environment.

This tab is not even scratch,dust or waterproof. So use screen protector once you purchase this tab.

Neither 256 gb is available for last one month, neither stylus available for last significant days and i think keyboard is not launched...
If its auch a shortage now, replacement and service after purchasing i think would be serious issue !!

BE AWARE - it is just GLASS - not gorilla glass or any other tough glass! I printed out tablet stand with 3D printer for it and tablet glass got scratched from it! So - need to buy protective cover/glass or be very careful!

That's because of low end (but feature rich) IPS panel, I think., even though there are IPS panels that displaying great level of black, far from OLED still.
And yes, it is very gray instead of black. You should look for another tablet that using AMOLED or other OLED variants if that's make you uncomfortable.

Hey guys, I have purchased the tab but having secoind thoughts. Just watched gotg 2 bluray hdr (29gb file size) and the blacks were so non existing that I was literally turned off.
Is it normal? I mean I know It is ips. But the suit the character was wearing, was just a black blob on the screen. Maybe that was the movie I dunno. Do any of you find blacks to be non existing?
