I'd like to point out something about the battery life. This thing will chew through battery by default. Turn on battery saver, all the time, and battery life is fine. It's plenty fast on battery saver. I can game without turning it off.
Also the battery indicator is very nonlinear. 90-100 percent is more like 2 percent rather than 10. Below 10 percent, find a charger, it's gonna die. The middle lasts a long time.

In low light, the preview on my selfie cam(s) look okay, but the end result is a blurry mess. Anyone know what's causing this? (Should I just screenshot the preview?)

Anonymous, 12 Jun 2021Is it just me or is the camera better than the iPhone 12 in the photo AND video comparison too... moreThe camera is surprisingly good in outdoor and indoor conditions especially for human subjects as it gives quite natural colours. The noise is also fairly well controlled in indoor pics (I also had the Xiaomi 10s with hmx main sensor which is a much more expensive phone but had far noisier indoor pics and also much darker pics both outdoors and indoors.). However, the night mode is really bad on this phone (the xiaomi 10s is much better with its nightmode). Gcam can save it at night though for anyone willing to install it as the night photos with gcam are very good.

I searched all over eBay and Amazon and all I found was TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) and PC (polycarbonate) but nothing sturdy as you described. I also checked otterbox but they don't produce for this model.

Was going to get the G100, but then found that you can't have dual SIMs and microSD at the same time, which is plain stupid. The Moto G6 I want to replace takes all at once, which is what I want.

Screen is easy to scratch and breaks easily.
I replaced it after 2 weeks thanks to buying the optional warranty.
Using a better protector with screws in the case, and it feels secure.

BTW, Motorola stopped being an U.S. based company when it got bought by Lenovo, which is Chinese, so, there's that.

I've been a fan of Motorola since the beginning. I've had almost all of them. I just don't believe that Motorola is worth the money, even though it's a budget friendly phone. I just traded my Edge 5G UW for the fully unlocked G100 8g ram/ 128 g rom Snapdragon 870 SoC. I can't see any really great improvement for it. The Edge 20 and 20 pro will not be for sale in the U.S. Neither will the G200. Obviously the G100 12g ram/ 256 rom never saw daylight here and I can not believe that the Edge X will either. Motorola is a U.S. based company we have the right to get our hands on these flagship phones too. Goodbye Moto.

beep bop boop, 31 Mar 2021Moto could be on its way out the door no matter how good their phone is, people just does not ... moreI think there are so many makes of phone on the market at the moment giving everyone a wide choice of phone it is really down to personal choice Samsung apple and Xiaomi are now strong among others Motorola were so close with a few of its phones spec wise which I really like they just need a good flagship which could be built on the edge series I do like the edge lite not sure what others think

Ordered Moto Edge S 256gb/8 GB from Aliexpress for 400 USD.
Installed Google Play etc... Very good for a price.
