If sd 888 is fabricated to tsmc instead of samsung, it will never overheat always

Tech nerd 333, 17 Mar 2021how can a 5nm hip be worse than a 7nm one? It’s supposed to be not, but looks like there is a foundry issue (Samsung vs TSMC manufactured). SD888 just has excessive TDP while offering not much more performance compared to SD865. Hence the overheating

Obviously not on the same level as the ROG line... but definitely great. The balanced stereo front facing speakers are great for games. Some people complain of the frame vibrations due to sounds (when the dynamic vibrator is turned off) but I actually find this useful for shooters since you can "feel" faint shooting or steps, however it would be even better if the vibration feature was available for other things than media playback.

On another related news, the ROG 5 failed Zach's durability test in JerryRigEverything video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dqi9QGyRWGk
So.... they need to address this cause durability/reliability was the main reason I never went with a ROG phone in the first place.

Ioannis, 14 Mar 202120.4:9 screen ratio, are you joking? Too narrow for everything, this phone is as wide as a 5.5... moreTotally agree, miss the 16:9 aspect ratio for browser use, at this rate Phone will soon be the Aspect Ratio of a pencil!

So many haters here. Complaining about: No OIS, Lack of updates, Typical resolution. I bet most of you right now have screens no higher than 1080p. if you guys hate the phone, don't complain here, just look for a new phone, that's it. 1440p is pointless, the PPI is already incredibly high to be even noticeable. if this phone does not appeal to you, just shut up.

                  Thank you.

You can hardly reach 60fps+ in Genshin Impact event in ROG Phone 5 at 1080p. It doesn't make sense to add those extra pixels which nobody would notice at the cost of significant performance loss. And that's ROG Phone 5 we're talking about, phones like S21 Ultra perform even worse.

I'll upgrade from my ROG Phone 2 when ASUS put at least 1440p 120hz AMOLED on their future ROG Phones. SD888 has much plenty power for 120hz 1440p gaming.
